We all know that Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 2006 failed miserably. However, there is still some fun to be had. I loved Space Gadget in Shadow and the music in Sonic 06 was amazing. So, what did you LIKE about Shadow and Sonic 06?

Honestly, with Shadow, I enjoyed a 3D circus level, instead of another casino level. But that's about it.

Edit: Wait a second, what are we talking about?

I actually liked the models and animation in Shadow the Hedgehog.

Too bad they stand out way too much from the rest of the game.

In shadow I love how over the top the drama was, and how serious it wasn't. I loved the level design, and the music. The buddy system was really well done. The animations were really fluid, and the first perfect rail system was a real nice treat. The voice acting was really good for Shadow, Sonic and Eggman. Favorite level also being the Carnival level.

For Sonic 06 I like how the game seemed like a more grown up Sonic, even though the game played like Shit, and the only fast parts were scripted/on rails. I loved the music despite the overabundance of Amen Break. And the simlish speak for the townfolk cracked me up all the time. The black dude who waved his arms and shouted "HEY" became a meme between me and a friend.

Shadow: Cyber world themed stage, but not the actual stages themselves. ...That's really about it.

Sonic 2006: Shadow's story wasn't too bad. It's almost like this game on this standing alone could have been a Shadow 2, minus retarded gun gimmick. Music was top notch.

    Sonic 06.

    This scene.

    Made Shadow an okay guy.

(I apologize for the "Unfitting Music" thing. It was the only tolerable one)

Shadow: Multiplayer mode was actually pretty cool IMO. On the rare occasions I found people who wanted to play it.

Sonic 2006: It played a lot like Sonic Adventure. The music was pretty cool too.

    Also what Chimpo said :v:

Best use of Chaos Control ever written. Silver deserved it.

I liked that getting from the beginning of the level to the end of the level in Shadow didn't take 35 minutes... Usually. Heroes had some stupidly long levels.

Also, I liked the end-level chime in Sonic 06.

In Shadow, it wasn't as much the specifics, as it was the fact that I actually enjoyed the game overall. Not a fan of the guns, but whatever.

I hate Sonic '06 with a passion, though. Only thing I enjoyed from there, before I quit playing it, was how nice the cutscenes looked, and the game's theme song.

    Internet.
The amount of "Long time no see"s thrown around in recent Sonic cutscenes makes me wonder just how long a time they consider a long time.
    "LONG TIME NO SEE!"
"Didn't we just save the world and shit last wee-"
"SHUT UP LONG TIME NO SEE >: [."

Oh, also, Shadow's pure ridiculousness was pretty awesome. 06 was pretty as hell, especially in comparison to Heroes and Shadow, but unfortunately all that pretty normal mapped next gen (at the time) goodness couldn't stop the part where the game was crap.

    Shadow:

    - The cursing
    - The cutscenes
    - The music
    - Branching storyline
    - Heroes gameplay minus the teamwork gimmick
    - It expanded the concept of using Omochao as a weapon from SA2
    - (semi)Playable Maria

    Next gen:

    - Silver's gameplay had its moments
    - Silver's hair :v:
    - Everybody's opening cutscenes were badass, as well as nearly every one of Shadow's
    - Modern Sonic gets impaled by a more badass version of Shadow
    - Silver's whiny ass got kicked in the head
    - It retconned itself out of existence

  18. Fanon: In Sonic's universe, "Long time, no see" is akin to "How are you?" when greeting someone.

Shadow was okay. A handful of the ideas for stages and items were inventive, such as the flashbacks and the cyberspace stages. The music was pretty cool, if a bit same-y, especially this. Also, compared to Heroes, the combat was at least exciting, if still somewhat annoying. Oh, yeah, and the Omochao Gun was a nice touch, too.

I didn't play Sonic 06, but I did like how the characters actually used their ability to warp time and space, albeit not as well as they could have. The plot seemed like it was more character-focused than event-focused, which is why I liked the first Riders.

I'll just say that I'm making a game starring Sonia and Silver and leave it at that :v:

I actually didn't mind Shadow the Hedgehog too much. Some levels made me rage but I enjoyed it overall. Not a game I pick up every once and a while to play again, though. I actually haven't played the game since it came out...

    FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU SONIC '06

Ah, sorry, I rage every time I think about it...

What do I like about it? NOTHING

well, OK, I guess I can say I actually enjoyed Blaze's gameplay. Too bad she only has one level!

(also I thought elise was quite pretty *fkees*)
