    Converting NES Mappers to MMC5
While I was playing Thunder Force II on Gens11a, I found some interesting RAM patch codes.

    Configuration Mode:
    FFFF9824 - Stage ???
    FFFF982E - Rank
    FFFF9828 - Stock
    FFFF9BBE - Shot
    FFFF982A - Music
    FFFF982C - Sound

    Game Mode:
    FFFF99E8 - Weapon
    FFFF981C - Lives
    FFFF8026 - Invisible
FFFF9A1E - How much time to complete the top view stage for a better score.

    Music:
A00002 - Music that's playing in the game.

More might be coming soon if I have a good name for the other codes that I found.

You could always submit the codes to thegshi.org if you don't want the codes to go to waste.

Didn't the x68k version of TF2 have extra levels not in the genesis version? I wonder if there are any part of those levels left over in TF2.

The only thing that I know that's not in the game from x68k is:

    Top View Stage 3
    Side View Stage 4
Some enemies from Stage 4 Side View
Try Again music is actually the Boss 4 music and the music is kinda short
The Configuration Mode music is not in the game. You can hear it in Thunder Force IV

You can read about it on the wiki and there are some video's of the missing stages in x68k version.

Interesting. That side view stage 4 wouldn't happen to be the stage from Thunder Force II which was ported over to Thunderforce III when it became Thunder Spirits and Thunderforce AC, would it?

I come up with things here and there. If I come up with something creative usually I will post as much as I can about it.
I could tell you that I've played through Thunderforce AC and one stage does feature the last side view stage in Thunderforce 2 with some modifications. If you even listen to the music: http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sega/...is/TF2-LEV8.mid this is the same tune that plays in one of the final stages of Thunderforce AC. This is stage 8 in Thunderforce 2. Also another note that the same boss that appears on stage 8 of Thunderforce 2 and that similar stage in Thunderforce AC, is also the boss in Thunderforce 6 following the Rynex:

What would be interesting is if a Thunderforce ROM hack could potentially be created that could coincide with the newer games. Perhaps music, graphical and otherwise hacks.
