CNZ in Sonic 3 without question. I thought it was annoying as hell when I first played it and I still do. Runners up include replacement tracks for Sonic 3 Ice Cap and LBZ in S&K collection and the Special Stage music from Sonic 2. Also, Ristar songs don't fit Sonic. I agree with that.

Now I will kindly ask all of you who were hating on the Bad Religion song to kick yourself in the head until you have a better taste in music, and those who thought it was a Sonic song to go remove yourselves from the gene pool, painfully.

Bit harsh, I liked them. WFZ sounded almost national anthem-like. Eggmanland anyone?

Eggmanland by itself is a badass song, its just after playing the level for an HOUR it starts to drag on you after a while.

Also, I agree, Bad Religion kindof sucks. Theres quite a few bands that do what they do alot better.

Blasphemy. Granted, they weren't the same band once they originally left Epitaph, but the records they had done up to that point are solid.

As for annoying Sonic music, I'm gonna have to go with the Sonic R soundtrack. Cheap Euro-dance-pop does not a good soundtrack make. And with the vocals, it's pretty much my idea of verbal diarrhea.

    S3 invincibility jingle, hands down.
And I like "Supersonic". I just do =/

Other annoying musics include any super music, invincibility jingles, and some musics from Sonic Heroes, like the casino place one (Long time since I've played SH)

I believe you have confused Big with Amy.

On-topic however, I would have to say I never was a big fan of the Carnival Nights zone's themes. I never liked the whole semi-rap/circus thing going on. I understand that it sorta fits the zone, but the song is highly annoying, and definitely a smudge on the otherwise great soundtrack to Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Most of Sonic Spinball's music for me, especially the option screen music. :psyduck: I'm surprised that game hasn't been coming up much in this thread.

Oh shush guys, Sonic R's OST and Spinball's options screen are flippin' awesome.

A lot of Secret Rings' soundtrack is dang annoying, but then again, so was just about everything in that game. "The Palace That Was Found", "The White of Sky", and the last real level's music were the only good songs, and the rest are rather obnoxious, especially "Let the Speed Mend It". And people think Sonic R featured ridiculous lyrics? Wait until they hear "The Wicked Wild" :psyduck:

"High and Broken" is awesome (and the only one without lyrics).

Werehog battle music. Wasn't bad, but it interrupted the great night music (which I'm pretty sure someone said already).

You people are Nazis, Sonic 2's Super Sonic music was amazing! Though I admit it can get a bit repetitive after a while.
Tunes I hate? Rouge's theme from SA2, every single one of Amy's themes, Spring Yard, Launch Base, Sonic HEEEEROOOOOOOES!!!!!, and Team Sonic's theme from Heroes.

Most annoying tunes =! tunes you hate.

Sonic 2 Super Sonic music is an awesome track, but it's so bloody annoying because it's plays and over and over and over.

Annoyance can lead to hatred, though :v:

I don't get all the hate towards Sonic 2's Super Sonic music. Yeah, it's not GREAT, but it's not THAT annoying. And hey, it wasn't just re-using invincibility music...

As for me, I'd have to say:

-Death Egg Zone (Sonic 2). Hardly played? Yeah, but I dunno, it just didn't fit all that well. S&K's Death Egg was awesome and fit more, so it could just be moreso relatively annoying than absolutely annoying. In a way, I'm kinda glad they DIDN'T make Death Egg a full stage for Sonic 2 because of that.

-Hill Top Zone. That high pitched... whatever it is, always annoyed me. Especially as a kid. I actually PREFERRED Super Sonic for both acts compared to it.

    -SOOOONIIIC HEEEROOOOOEEES. Enough said.

Other than that though, I actually like almost every other track the Sonic games have. Yes, even Shadow. Haven't played Secret Rings, though... so that might change that if I ever do.

  16. Sonic music is usually pretty cool, I'll just say the S&K invincibility theme. Infact, my friend and I actually joke around saying that when people have gay greek sex that song is playing at maximum volume.

Oh come on, not Spring Yard Zone. I hate to be one of those who say "How dare you not like this song!" but it's one of the three great songs from Sonic 1, among Labyrinth Zone and Scrap Brain Zone. What about Marble Zone, that one just drones on you.

Incidentally, I still hate the Sonic Rush soundtrack, with the exception of Sonic's music during the cutscenes.

The only Sonic music I truly hate is Sonic Erasers'. It's way too screechy and repetitive for me. Sonic and the Secret Rings' soundtrack is tolerable, but not quite up to par with Jun Senoue's work. Speaking of Jun Senoue, if you order some of his upcoming albums through his website, he'll autograph them for you at no additional cost! I'm practically drooling at the thought of it!

From Sonic 1 I like Green Hill, Marble, Labyrinth, Star Light, Scrap Brian, Final Zone, and the boss music. Spring Yard and the special stage just aren't that special to me.

    Without a doubt, 16 from Sonic 2.
