Zircon was the only one I like but that's my kinda music I like. Even to this day I still prefer the original arcade music before the super series.

Oh by the way I like this new version your doing. Can you put some more attack on your instruments as it's just too ambient and pad like.

Yeah, I agree with this. I like this track a lot, it's almost there.

3. I finally got round to playing my keyboard, and did this metropolis zone remaster today:

I can remove the additional guitar chords if you like, hope you like it.

The only glaring flaw I can find is that the percussion does not stop during the last measure.

Also, when played along with the organ, your guitar score unfortunately sounds really out of tune. I'm sure it could be digitally altered, though.

It's getting there. Your skill is improving so keep at it.

6. Thanks for the feedback. I'll get round to it at some point.
What do you think of the bass and organ and drums?

I think the guitar was in tune, maybe the organ is masking the guitar parts that are in tune, and now the other fuzzy distortion sounds are much more audible, or maybe they are in different octaves or chords.

I'm thinking of putting more organ parts in the chorus. Also, I think I'll re-do the chorus guitar chords to be cleaner as they block out the bass a bit too much.

There is room for more instruments like cymbals, high hats and orchestra hits if people want that, but I won't go mad as overcrowding may start to be an issue. I'll release an update here when I get time. I quickly made this version without guitar chords just to show the difference:

I think it sounds cleaner and if I make the changes I said above it will nearly be ready.

8. a thought that has run through my head a lot

e: in fact, I would go as far as to say the opening percussion is all that's needed

May I suggest setting it to orchestral bass drums?

Indeed.

12. I redid some stuff on metropolis - see which version you think is better, and if you prefer the old guitar I can put it back. C&C welcome.

Oh, and I've been doing this too, I posted it in creative section also -

EDIT-
Sorry, I just didn't like the new guitars that I put in, so I reverted to the old ones. I shortened the 2nd lead melody to be more like it is in the game.

Please give me some feedback!

EDIT - Don't know if anyone else noticed, but Mesomium's Oil Ocean has one note wrong in the final scale. It should be C# but Mesomium played C major. (The original SEGA artist perhaps made an error in the musical scale?) I took the liberty of showing you what I mean in this .ogg -

Here's my attempt at Hill Top Zone(since apparently that's the current goal). I hope it sounds ok to you guys.

Also, I'm gonna say it now: Filedoppler links send me to 404 thingy, and when I do a hard refresh they send me to just a blank page. I suggest using http://sendspace.com/ for when you want to upload your stuff. It may take a little while sometimes for some big files, but it usually pulls though and gets the job done.

Either that, or just use something like megaupload or fileden. They seem to work just fine.

14. Are my links not working? I'll try fileden later. I have an idea for a better Death Egg Zone version so I'll reupload everything once I have something good done for that. I'm thinking sawtooth wave keyboard and electric distortion guitar. It will sound different, but I think it will be an improvement.

Here =)

I took the suggestions of a few months ago (*coughs* Horrible procrastinator *coughs*) and want to know if this turned out better or worse?

I've put two versions in the ZIP, one has the same lead as last time, the other is just experimenting wit things. =)

It's cool, but aren't we trying to get exclusive soundtracks for the game?

That is a really good remix, no two ways about it. It's also remarkably similar to the one Cinossu did.

I would assume by the tone of your post that it was largely drenched in sarcasm, but you'd be correct—the two are one in the same. This wouldn't be the first time I saw horribly uninformed creative theft present somewhere on Newgrounds. Someone should call that guy out.

And look at this...
That's because you can't, dipshit! Holy fuck.
