I really like this

 

scubaSteve - I love your rendition of CPZ. My only minor nitpick suggestion would be that the last note in the trio of 3 notes that begins at 0:41 ends too quickly. Listen to the original to see what I mean.

Other than that, scubaSteve's one gets my vote 100%.

Makes me wonder if an organ-like instrument (like the original) might be more favorable there... Well, I think I'll leave it for now, I'm sick to death of hearing CPZ after working on it for so long :p

 

This is the greatest thing I have ever heard. This is literally—and I mean in every imaginable aspect—perfect. Fantastic job!

This one leaves a bit to be desired... the soundscape is kind of interesting, but it seems very flat. If you listen to my version, it feels like there's a lot more encompassing "space" in the song—background chords, some extra percussion bits, et all—that make the song feel more varied and alive. Perhaps you could try spicing things up?

Hmm... the original felt fairly minimal and simplistic to me so that's what I tried to go for. I think part of the problem might be my very crappy "horns", which are actually just the brass instruments from my other MCZ 2P put through a few filters/effects. I'll readily admit that I half-assed them because I couldn't figure out how to program some decent-sounding FM horns... I'll try adding some variety though, and see how it sounds.

 

If you guys need a sax player, for like casino night or anything just let me know. Or a guitarist for that matter.

 

While I'm not too fond of the first "revving up" noise at the song's intro (which reminds me of the moon stage in Wonder Dog), I must say that I just love ScubaSteve's latest Chemical Plant rendition.

Much as I hate to be a party pooper, there are still a couple problems. First, the volume levels are somewhat inconsistent. Second, some of the instruments don't have enough reverb, and sound staccato-y where they shouldn't.

But I love this rendition. I want to hear more from you, Scuba.

I think it's pretty safe to say this one will be making it into the final version of the game. If not as the main remastered piece, then definitely as one of the great variety options. Great job scuba!

 

I really like the rhythm section that the song has (I.e., bass/percussion/arpeggiation) but I really am not super fond of the voice used for the melody, though I'll somewhat begrudgingly accept the voice used for the chords in the intro.

 

I honestly can't tell whether you're kidding or not.
