Nice job Sonica! The .AI was full of fixes and adjustments to do per animation flow, but I've fixed them for you! (Please note Sonica, Frame 3 still needs a bit of work on gradient steps!) I strongly feel the second animation below looks much sharper and HD, but at the same time releases clashing issues. The first, while being a bit more flat it sure blends in much better. *WARNING* Big APNGS 1 2 Can't' wait to play it! ^^
HOT! The size and uberness of everything is stunning! I like the metal shapness but I can't see the animation because of IE7.
A nitpick but... I think the shadow that under the sign that is circled in red should also rotate along with the sign
I cant get firefox to veiw the apng's... Can you make them gifs? (it just comes up with error messages when I try) EDIT: Ok, got firefox and everything is ok... =D
To be honest, I think that the shadows are far too powerful on the sign, maybe bring them back a bit so the sign appears a bit brighter? Especially on the top corners.
I half agree with you there, I do thing the actual shadows are too dark and should mabe vary in darkness or rotate (like what KuriKai pointed out), but I think the frame needs dark shades (maybe not that dark, but quite dark)...
The shadow rotation is very possible, just like the minor tweaking on top dark corners of signpost. However, that would require extra (and complex) drawing, that I'd grant only If Sonica is willing to try that. Either way, this art is now marked as complete and updated on the DB! Good Job Sonica! ^^ In case you wish to test the pole shadows, take hint from Tyr's great 3D example:

If you look at his artwork, they're quite a bit smaller than that. It's really only a minor problem, if any, but might could be improved.
Uhh, mind explaining what vertex is? I know the general idea, but not when pertaining to Illustrator.
Hi guys, new to the forum. Just wanted to commend you on the awesome work I've been looking at over the past 6 hours ;P I really want to help and contribute in some way. I'm kinda new to illustrator (only used it a few times in the past few years) but I've used Photoshop for many moons.. so hopefully it won't be too difficult to adapt and create something worthy. I was thinking of trying my hand at reworking either; 'Crawl', 'Shellcracker' or some of the boss vehicles, such as the 'BossBase' - I'm not entirely sure if any of these (the bosses) have been finished, or if you still want people to work on them. Again, awesome work guys ;3

Welcome to S2HD fletchrrr, and thanks for your feedback! ^^ I suggest you to complete BossBase, as it's indeed the most required Badnik - Art at the moment. Being Illustrator the first choice for remastering art, you can also use Photoshop without rasterizing layers. *Gambit: Select the pen tool, and click on the point where you want to add a vertex.
Ah ok Vincent, sounds great ^^ thanks very much for the welcome ;3 I'll make a start later today and let you know how it's going. I could also have a fiddle with the sign post shadow if no one else wants to risk it ^^;

Yes Gambit! Definitely much better. Now it's time to shade it, and here comes in two techniques: 1)Giving each square a certain gradient fill path. 2)Add a layer mask with some kind of gradient lighting to simulate colour transition
