I got it for a whopping ?3.99, I installed it ok, ran the game and what? no music? what's going on? Also, if I want to go to the menu, and I go back to the game, the palletes corrupt!! I was really disapointed, although the special stages are cool, and it DOES have superior graphics but, heh, no music, that sucks!

    what does anyone else think?

Sonic 3d blast for PC is my favorite sonic game originally for genesis, I own all the genesis ones, except Mean Bean Machine and Sonic Collection or whatever. The music works on my copy, it's on the cd, it is AMAZING music. Too bad it doesn't work on yours.

I guess that because you got it working, I would say that you might be REALLY lucky.

That's odd, the sound is fine on mine and I have WinXP too. Also I have the original copy of the game...
but anyway I think the game is good but the special stage is just crap

I've actually been getting into it at the moment, the special stages are a rehash of sonic 2 but they are better than the megadrive ones.

Nothing that concerns this place in the least.
I've never played Sonic 3D Blast for the PC, I've only played the Saturn and Megadrive versions, so I've never known the soundtracks were different.

Yea, I defently prefer the Genesis ones over the Saturn ones.

The Genesis ones acrually have some "actions". The other one, well, *pucks*.

BTW, do you think you can upload it for us?

I have the game. Just like Sonic CD (PC and Sega CD version) the music is coded as CD Audio. It will even play in a normal CD Player. My old 386 @ 16 MHz used to play it all the time since my cd-rom was external. I'd boot up with the cd-rom driver, put the cd in, tell it to play the whole thing, then reboot without loading the cd-driver and it would still continue to play through the whole cd :D (no sound card, just headphones). If the music isn't working, it might not be the real thing (pirated? beta?). The game had a tiny install of 4 mb and used Direct X 3.0. It beats the Saturn on loading times and the music is the same, but the gameplay (special stages, etc) just aren't the same.
