Interesting. That map screen on the front page caught my eye. Can't wait to see what this shows, as it seems to be pretty early before Sonic 2's Release

 

I've been looking through old game magazines lately and figured there wasn't really anything left to see. If that map screen is genuine then this magazine could be epic.

Also, this magazine says that Sonic 1 was originally split up into 5 acts each. It could be a mistake but the image on that magazines cover could be from Sonic 1.Preview - Sonic the Hedgehog (Computer & Video Games,June 1991)

 

I wish I started collecting magazines earlier. All I have are like 3 years worth of Game Informer from, if I recall correctly, 1998 to 2001

 

Well, Since we're on the subject of magazines, I found a sonic 3 preview article, It's from febuary '94.

From Feb. 1994? That's a printing date probably a month older than the game's release date (Feb. 2).

Sonic 2 came out in 1992, not 1994. When are you expecting the magazine anyway? Make high quaility scans for the wiki.

 

I thought we had to, I recognise that map from a few years back.

Well, no new info, but it's a new magazine scan, which is usually good. What is the Electronic Games logo? It looks like a spinoff of EGM.

 

The first thing I noticed was that they drew Knuckles with a Monolithic eye (like Sonic). And artistic error or an early design? uh, Imagining Knuckles like that creeps me out.

 

You noticed that BEFORE "DSS" v0.1?

 

OH wow Tails looks ugly

 

Yeah, that cover pic made with laugh at it's inherent ridiculousness.

 

I think we are all waiting on status of the magazine, I thought it would be there by now.
