I've been doing some work on SYZ, and I believe I have a decent day/night cycle for the darker setting.

Here is a image of each act. Suggestions are most welcome

That is just the ultimate sex, right there. I hope I'm (still...because I'm unsure if I ever was) a BETA tester. That looks so awesome and I need a fix.

Also, your avatar creeps me out, Jc... =P

What are the sporadic dots within the mountains, exactly?

The mountains look as they come right out of a Mario game.

Actually they came from a Sonic game, Sonic 3.

The dots I assume a actually houses or lights, I guess it is less obvious due to it being brighter =P

Yeah, I think they were lights in Carnival Night, so I'll assume they're lights here. Class looking art.

    Alright, cock fight time.

Some people say the left for the extra shading and the flowy'ness, but others say the right because its less busy, and fits with the calm'ness of the level.

    What do you think?

Left. It's much more defined, and makes the ground appear as if it was actually ground, whilst still containing the surreal pattern element that is prominent in most Sonic levels. The one on the right doesn't look like it was modified much from Green Hill.

Not really. A little modification versus A new design? New design wins, it's much more original, if anything.
