TBH I was thinking the same thing.

 

Xtreme? WTF is that? You mean snowboarding and Doritos?

 

As far as I can tell, anything new we ever find out about Xtreme is considered the most sacred of all news (except for maybe a later beta of Sonic 2 or any beta of Sonic 1). Since it was never released, it has a certain power that even betas of released games can never have.

 

I'm gonna be stuck in P.A. for that comment, aren't I?

Arg crap. I forgot. I was meant to scan this for Mike Wallis -___-. Have had it for a while, however.

 

Eww, Jade Gully isn't that pretty looking. Yeah, it's basic 3D, and smooth shading / pixel interpolation isn't available on the Saturn hardware(that I know of), but it's just a mess. I'd say the level is better fit for 2D than 3D.

It was an interesting read, though. Whatever happened to that fan based remake that they talk about on the last page? Is it still up and in progress somewhere?

 

It's still up, but I'm certain it hasn't got any farther than the planning stages. You weren't expecting it to get anywhere, were you? Last I checked, Senn wasn't all that active on his forums either, so I wouldn't be surprised if he finally lost his patience with those twits.

Also, who does care about Xtreme? I mean, EXTREME DANNIS is a tough act to follow! oviposition

 

Enough people who want the 718 beta. ASSEMbler still has it and gave a copy of it to those who donated. It'll be released to the public via bittorrent on the 18th. (BITTORRENT!? Sounds familiar doesn't it?)

But I'm kind of skeptical after drx's effortless attempt to fool us all last year.

 

That'd be a bitch if he tried to pull the same stunt to try and be funny. Of course it would'nt be coming from him. :P

As for the Xtreme thing, I'm pretty sure ASS is being serious about it. He needs a reason to make his epenis bigger, so he'll do that. Besides, if he scams people out of a $5 donation, he'll have to answer to a court of law.
