Yes, and even PicoDrive DS is better. Seriously, I played this right next to PicoDrive and PD won.

Sad that 4 frame skipped emulation is better than this hunk of shit.

actually I think it would be far more productive to start from scratch (or use teh Sonic 1 GBA project to start)

 

It's hard to believe that Phoebius and Brunni alone managed to make a better game than the whole of Sonic Team.

Holy christ, and this isn't because of my crappy computer. They could have at least made new sprites for the fans to take advantage of. Ala Retro Sonic, but ya know, Sega-official.

 

It's slow, the collision is buggy, the spin-dash feels like it's taken from the drx S2 prototype, and the game feels like crap. But hey, the spike bug is fixed. You can't expect them to do everything, can you?

BTW, get a gba emulator running at 2x the speed and you might actually get a good game!

I opened up the rom into the Hex Editor. It looks like it's all a bunch of padded code :P.

 

I'm suprised nobody's mentioned: ALL the little point-markers at the sign-post area are 10000's. EVERY ONE. I'd put up a shot, but I don't feel like wasting webspace on this bullshit.

I second this idea. Although I'm no hacker, I think it'd probably take forever to fix the sound and the framerate issue. Now someone will post a hack of it and prove me wrong. =P

 

To fix the music and frame rate issues:
Turn off the music in the game's options.

 

uhhh... nope.. stills plays like shit.. just FASTER shit...

 

Still plays horrible. Fluctuates between too fast and too slow, making it more unplayable.
