All the pictures in the magazine are identical to our beta. :/

Could this be the true orgin of our beta, and not the one that was stolen in NY?

(I am not trying to discourage people from donating...)

 

Have you been in contact with this guy very recently? I'm just curious as to how it's going. Again, I wish I could contribute, but you need a damn job to get some damn money. :P What's the current amount of the fund? (And when do we get that Sonic 3D Beta? :P )

Just to clarify: I meant the proto being the same as risky, not the refund part. I totally understand why the refund isn't going to happen.

 

Perhaps you should ask the owner for a total/partial refund in case it's the same as the thing we already have.

Or you could offer him less money just for letting you dump it, instead of buying the physical media. I've seen that being done before with success.

 

ICEknight's suggestions are great, but may not work-this guy seems to be a hardass...

 

From what I've gathered, the fact that this guys is even selling a proto is a miracle in itself, so trying to haggle into a different deal is pretty out of the question in this case.

This may seem rather small and irrelevant, but I've noticed that the two Hidden Palace screenshots match identicly to the Megacosm screenshots seen here.

Probably just a coincidence, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Look at the bottom and right of this picture. There is a Tails End Sign there. It's enough proof that the prototype isn't the same we got here. I think it is much more later than we think. (A Tails end sign might mean that Tails is playable. I didn't saw any other magazine showing a playable Tails. A near-finish prototype?)
