Hardest special stages in a 2d sonic game

So wait: Are you asking what the hardest special stage is, or what the worst special stage is? Clarity plz.

 

Well, Sonic 2's always give me the most trouble. I've only got all 7 emeralds the legitamate way about three times, I believe.

 

Ditto. I am consistantly screwed over by unexpected mines. I think part of what makes them harder is that they are much more difficult to memorize than other stages.

 

That, and Tails likes to run his dumbass into mines due to his one second delay in response time, subsequently losing you just the right amount of rings to make you fail the stage.

 

Sonic 2 hands down

 

I clicked Chaotix just before I remembered Sonic 2. I've still never got all seven emeralds legitimately in S2 (mostly because I've never bothered). Still, it took some heavy savestate usage to get my first perfect completion in Chaotix.

 

Sonic 2 most definitly, Sonic 3 would definatly be the least hard.

 

Am I the only one that thinks Sonic 2 special stages are ridiculously easy?

I voted Sonic CD; never was too good at those.

Chaotix too, I never got all Chaos Rings.

 

Of course they are. The S&K ones are supposed to come later in the game.

Anyway, for me it's a two-way tie between S1 and SCD, though I voted S1 because they piss me off easier. Atleast I enjoy SCD's stages. I used to think that I could never do S2's, until I actually tryed. S3's are my favorites, hands down (and Blue Sphere is <3). Knuckles Chaotix stages give me a little trouble towards the end, but other than that, it's smooth sailin' for me.

 

Their order is inconsistent with their difficulty. THe hardest one is arguably the fourth (fifth? The one with the black and white floor) of Sonic 3.

 

Only because of the three blue spheres with the two bumpers. Jump wrongly and die. I go there first because the speed is slow enough to be controllable there :P BTW, worse is the fourth Special Stage from S&K... Seriously, who made a perfect there without touching any red sphere? I only did that ONCE.

But I can't get past the 2nd special stage even by playing as Sonic alone. Man, I sux. <_<

 

Well, I managed to learn to control how the computer controls to Tails using him to my benefit. C'mon, I still can't believe that the Sonic 2 Special Stages are that hard to you :/

COMPLETE opposite for me. I fucking rule Sonic CD's special stages. They are just challenging enough.
