Ken Penders is now allegedly planning to shut down his Twitter and Facebook accounts in favor of opening up a Discord server (likely due to the Elon Musk drama). Considering the majority of his audience (including the hatefollowers) follow him through Twitter, I'm kind of shocked he's making this decision (especially because the Discord server is obviously going to get overrun by trolls the moment it opens, unless he's planning to individually vet every single member).
I honestly expected that Ken would be one of the dumbasses who would unironically pay for a blue checkmark.
Such an insane move. His Discord will be a tiny echo chamber and anyone who joins it and is critical of his band of donotsteals will be instantly banned, keeping it a tiny echo chamber.
I fail to see how this is anything but a good thing then, to be quite frank. He can languish in the obscurity of his own little echo chamber and the company of the sycophants who inhabit it. He gets to have his ego stroked for however much longer he's going to have an online presence without needing to commit to actually doing anything while the rest of us will probably never hear from him again. A win all round, really.

I'm certain all of us watched DYKG's video on canceled Sonic games. But did anyone pause when they showed what Ken Penders had to say? No? Well fuck you Bobby Schroeder did. And holy shit, it's a LOT - DYKG didn't really cover much of it since it's pretty tangential to what they were focusing on, but it is relevant to this thread. So here we go! Summarized from Schroeder's post: The judge presiding over Penders v. Archie was willing to send the dispute over whether the incomplete photocopied contract that Archie presented was a forgery to a jury, and whoever they found was the liar would've gone to jail. I think we all have our suspicions as to who was the liar (the judge is said to have looked Penders directly in the eye as he explained this), but Archie's lawyers knew they didn't have a great case either and chose to settle. Sega told Archie that if they wanted to keep the Sonic comic license, they were going to have to deal with Penders themselves, without any of their help. This was actually the main reason Archie sued Penders; he was "damaging their business" because Sega was threatening to revoke the license. Sega's refusal to help is part of why Archie ultimately chose to settle. This whole thing makes Schroeder think the 2016 Scott Fulop suit might've been a bigger factor in the series' cancellation than previously speculated. Some more of the "I own Shade because Sega hasn't said anything"/NFT nonsense Archie's original deal with Sega mandated that Archie was not allowed to introduce any new characters without informing Sega... OOPS. This is all fucking amazing, I love it
In sum, Archie screwed up, SEGA acted as usual and Penders simply went with the flow as much in his favor as possible. In the end, nobody won (despite Penders having kept his characters) and the comic fans got screwed sideways. Great -_-
It's kind of insane that they went through all the trouble to interview him and then used basically none of the material. But the abundance of THAT material makes me wonder how much they had with Miles they didn't even show. Also I will sue him if he tries to use Shade the Echidna. (Source: I own Shade the Echidna.)
To be fair, very little of this was relevant to what they were discussing, which was the plot of a canceled video game that Penders had virtually nothing to do with other than being part of the reason it never got made. It's at least nice they included it; I'd like to think they knew fans would find it interesting even though it had little to do with the subject at hand.
