I don't think there's much info about this lost game, so here's a ludicrous-price auction with some screens at least: https://www.ebay.com/itm/CRYING-DRAGON-SEGA-MEGA-DRIVE-MEGADRIVE-MEGA-CD-UNRELEASED-PROTOTYPE-JAPAN/223236407550 EDIT: I've saved the pics here: https://imgur.com/a/XXfVVeA Board: Spoiler Title and menus: Spoiler In game: Spoiler
Woah, amazing find. Game looks heavily inspired by Wonder Boy (particularly Monster World) and I would have bought this in a heartbeat as a kid. That said the price is ridiculous. Hopefully some super rich Megadrive fan somewhere will buy this and immediately dump it. Would love to fire this up on an emulator. Maybe alert Assembler Games about this as someone on there would probably be interested in securing a rom dump of this?
Yeah fair enough. 5K is pretty much extortion and no game however rare is worth that. Perhaps the best case scenario would then be someone interested in dumping this negotiating to acquire it at a reasonable price - though that might be unlikely. Also however good this game looks it is in Japanese so it'd also need a fan-made English patch too for most to enjoy it. Will be keeping an eye on this either way and thank you for bringing this to light. Interested to see what happens here.
It doesn't seem to be much of a game in this state, by the way: https://twitter.com/ocornutjp/status/1064566705450569728
Well-deserved bump because this was just dumped by @Andlabs. https://twitter.com/pgandlabs/status/1197239187637968898 https://andlabs.dev/blog/crying-dragon/
