    I don't know if this is already known here ... but The Video Game History Foundation found the source code for Mega Drive's Aladdin with some Development tools, tUME Universal Map editor, which we already have on our "beautiful" wiki, the "Chopper" a tool to chop imported animations up into tiles (this was part of the dev kit issued by SEGA to third-party developers), and other goodies... you guys have to see this here

    Somewhat disappointed that the full source code isn't released, but I imagine there's a lot of legal issues that would entail.

    However, the information that's present in the article is already wonderful.

    Maybe... at least tUME is open source ... but I'm curious about that other tool the "Chopper" ... I'm obsessed with this stuff... i don't have any technical knowledge but I always wanted to know what tools were used in the development of these games...
