What the hell does that sign say above Sonic? "Hotter"?

I don't know how you got "hotter" out of that. :P Looks like a twirling image more than words.

I got the picture from SoST. Here's where I'm seeing "Hotter" (I blew it up in Photoshop and crappily traced over it to show you how I get "Hotter" from that), to compare with the scan I posted above:.

Ooooh now I see what you mean, hmm, it's still too blurry to really make anything out, and I think the 'tt' could possibly just be the edges of the two rectangluar outlines on that shape. I wish whoever scanned that in had done it at a higher DPI, it almost looks like a photo of the magazine taken with a digital camera @_@

I seem to remember Pachuka producing pictures of some beta stuff with his digital camera, so perhaps that's why it looks so bad.

Now that I look at it a bit more, it seems like it could be "HoHo"? The more I look at it, the more the "tt" looks more like the "H" on the left.

Just thought of what it might say: "Ha Ha". In the enlarged version, it looks like there might be some space between the second 'letter' and the 'H' after it.

Holy shit! Thanks for pointing me to Sonicology, Rika, because look at the second scan on his SYZ page:

"Go Go". That's what it says. Either that or there were multiple signs.

Edit: Now that I look at it, it does seem to be a slightly different style of box as compared to the first pic I posted. The first scan on Hive's SYZ page shows a sign closer to the first one. And the first letter looks like an "H" on that scan, unlike this one that clearly says "Go Go".

The Go Go one looks different but the quality is so bad you just can't know.

Also, to note a fact, the "Ha Ha" sign (as I'm going to call it until we figure it out for real) looks closer to the "Good Luck" design than the "Go Go" sign.

I don't get how you could get "haha" from that. If anything it loogs like EGG or GSM or something like that. Maybe Sonic was supposed to phone someone in that level like Tails. *shot*

Seriously. I cannot make any letter out of that unless it's a greek alphabet. And even then, no.
