Then what's that reflection at the white part of his boot? I guess it will get a lot more straight at the very moment he finds Sonic.
Storyboards for the beginning of Sonic Adventure's Sonic story. Not sure if these were previously known so I thought it'd be worth posting here.
Pretty sure I've seen those storyboards posted before. Reminding people they exist is always nice though, I guess.
Oh ya we've seen these before, but always lovely seeing pre redesign Sonic in Adventure related stuff (good ol 1 up icon and speed shoe icon that come DX just stuck out like sore thumbs)
It's kind of funny that due to the inexperienced animators working on the game, the actual cutscene really doesn't follow the storyboard at all. Of course, would love a real remake that did follow the actual storyboards and gave us a much more well animated, polished narrative, but I doubt it will ever happen.
hahahahah I'm trying to picture how jank it'd be in game to have Chaos bop Sonic on the head while fleeing the cops
A wiki task, if anyone is up to it. This Sonic Drift 2 art of Fang and the Marvelous Queen...: https://info.sonicretro.org/File:Sd2-fang.png ...is missing the vehicle's yellow orb thingy: https://info.sonicretro.org/index.php?title=File:SonicDrift2_GG_JP_manual.pdf&page=39 It's easy to mistake as just part of the manual design, but it's on the back of the box too: http://info.sonicretro.org/File:Drift2_gg_jp_back_cover.jpg As you can see from the back of the box, the orb's shadow is part of the art too. This is important, because it indicates that the orb is on ground level.
Btw the art for Sonic Drift 2 has absolutely no right being as good as it is. Like how? For this random ass racing game on a portable system none the less.
I think by now most of you know this, but I've never noticed before. I was watching the Shadow DLC from Forces with Japanese dub, and it was actually possible (sort of) to see Infinite's face in-game. The image above is the English dub, and the one below is the Japanese dub, for comparison.
