I *can* see it if I try really hard, it's really not that intuitive in my opinion. Despite what they say, I am easily going to "unsee" this.
Still, congratulations for giving birth to a meme.

 

I can see it in the MS paint drawing, but I can't see it in the sprite. Maybe it's because I've been looking at the sprite for ~16 years and believing it to be ole' Eggy

 

Can you guys really see that, in the original sprite?

Anyway, should this be in "General Sonic Discussion"?

 

I can see it when I rotate the screen.

It would help a lot more if Eggman's eyes were black, I think.

 

I saw corneliab's display pic and was reminded of this monstrosity.

This would otherwise be a useless bump but fwiw, pretty much all the images you used to document this have either broken or require you to go to the source page because lol Photobucket. They give you an image of this:



and apparently PB wants you to pay ~$400 to have an account that can directly link to their images. Which means you might be SOL unless you dig through your old (probably deactivated) account and manually re-host those images..

That said, think it'd be doable for you, or anyone else who documented this madness? For history's sake :specialed:

It's been six years, not five. I'm actually surprised this thread isn't locked to prevent necroing.

I'm ok with Eggette and hope to see her as a Bowser Jr/Nina Cortex/Snively type.

 

Honestly thought that was the reason this was bumped in the first place.

 

What madness? This thing died the same thread it was made and someone's been trying to force it as a "meme" ever since.

 

Well, I thought it was hilarious at the time, and I'm surprised it didn't get more popular then.

Concerning the lost images, perhaps Wayback Machine archived an old version of the image? That's how I got the images back from my old 3D level maps thread after Imageshack killed them along with all the free accounts.

So... you're only supposed to see it in a heavily altered version of the original sprite?

 

I never understood this. Memes like this usually stem from a random odd occurrence and then someone cranks the oddity to 11 and then it goes viral. The base for this is practically non-existent.

Now if there were a common in-game glitch that would horribly disfigure Robotnik in such a way, that'd have worked.
