If this is true... well, damn. More and more, it's seeming like SEGA should never trust their IPs to third parties, because they seem to be consistently fucked over by it. When Dimps is a best case scenario, because they're simply incompetent and misguided rather than dishonest, you know something is terribly wrong.
Hogfather's an awesome chap and I do trust him usually, but yeah, siding with you on this one, TimmiT. I'd like to see something more concrete before jumping to any rash conclusions. I think it's probably quite likely that Sanzaru haven't given this game full-attention. They clearly weren't treating Boom like a top priority back before SC released and subsequently bombed, so it would stand to reason that they and SEGA aren't overly focused on this one either. Nobody had said the slightest word on it since it was announced and we got some footage from an obscure SEGA event in Japan.
It's that Tomy quality hard at work :v: Interested to see how they show Fire & Ice next, they have a chance at winning me over if the game's quality is up to snuff now.
Wow, I never thought I would see the day where a Sonic title would get a full year delay. X-Treme does not count.
Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is the anniversary game. Still, I'd rather the potential anniversary game be delayed than get Sonic '16.
Wow a year delay? They really must have done a number to fix that thing up. Good for them. Now actually tell us about a game I might care about
I'm honestly pretty excited for this game at this point. The first one was fun, if unremarkable, and with this much development time it must be good, right? + - RIGHT?!
Careful, we don't want them to turn around, delay the game to December 30th, and turn it into a collect-a-thon, do we?
SA2 included, of course. That thing about SB:Fire&Ice being the anniversary game is not exactly absurd. With a nCartoon about Sonic Boom, it would be actually wise to set this as the 'New Sonic' as the last good-selling game was 'Colors'. Aimed at kids with a slight rework but with different gameplay, a properly done game could be fun. I think were witnessing the post-modern Sonic era o.o. I hope I'm wrong though.
Are we sure that the picture is not a fake? Because I'd be really disappointed if there is no Sonic Team game for 2016.
Because they would totally announce the 25th anniversary title on some tiny little poster instead of making some big announcement.
