Oh hey its that thing, that crossover thing that most people aren't interested in. I'm just getting fairly bored of this series, looks fun for what it is but looks to be the usual fair this crossover series is known for. Not my thing, although the amiibo support is making me curious. The thought of using a Link amiibo that I have to compete in archery sounds amusing, but I'm sure it won't work like that, who knows?
Does anyone care about this game? http://youtu.be/HLLQNnc9c2U Rosalina, Koopalings (at least Ludwig and Wendy), Wave and Dry Bones as new characters. February 16th release date in Japan. Also Sticks makes main character art. Wave is a "blink and you'll miss it" moment, so here:
And that says a lot cause that's the barrel of Sonic characters we're talking about. I like Wave though...
wait hold on is that a belt buckle? Sticks has a different design! Ok, they've my interest EDIT: probably just an arrow holster still, I wanna see the render
The Mario additions are even worse imo. Oh boy, Nabbit and Dry Bones. My favorites... I think both series have about 10 "good" characters and then the rest are just crap.
I really wish they wouldn't pad out the rosters with filler. I hate it in Mario spin-offs and I hate it here. I'd focus on the core cast and some obscure choices but not shit like Dry Bones. How about instead of Dry Bones we get Wart? Or Tatanga? How about instead of Wave we get Gamma or Omega? Wave is a lot less serious of an offense because at least Wave is her own person and not cannon fodder.
Look, I'm usually all for a nod back to Wart or Tatanga, but they've not been relevant since their inceptions. That's 1988-1990. Over 20 years. Dry Bones will do. He's at least recognizable and isn't a blatant cop out like... [Suit/Color] Mario/Peach, or babies. THOSE are padding.
Irrelevance isn't a good reason to leave something out of a crossover. In fact, spin-off stuff like this is just about the only way they'll get seen. And Dry Bones is quite literally a cannon fodder enemy, I would prefer metal mario or something easier to watering down the roster like that. Or you know what? Screw it, Coconuts for 2018!
As long as Scratch and Grounder are coming too (complete with original voice actors), I'm all for it. :v:
Japanese 3DS boxart. A few things concerning this game are on my mind right now. 1. What's happened to the Wii U version? We've seen nothing of it since the announcement. 2. What little we've heard about the 3DS version has all been courtesy of Japan. It's not getting any Western coverage. + - 3. Why do I even care?
Ayyy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alkmiJBveWs Amiibo support and more characters. Also what I'm assuming is some campaign involving your mii or something. Still no word on the Wii U version, or any localized trailers. Pretty weird.
I'm hyped for this game. Also, Chao will be in here according to this photo (I've right-click a video so I can just show you that portion; the video's on it's Japanese website):
This game's looking better than I expected on 3DS. Shame that the Wii U version has disappeared off the face of the earth though.
So I guess Eggman Nega serves no other purpose then to be a filler slot character for M&S olympic games. Well at least we get up to date renders of him.
