To be honest, I'd have thought a deadline that's specified in UTC would make more sense, considering everyone can then convert off that from their own timezones. =P

So are you going to have the contest week mini contests that everyone doesn't enter because it isn't advertised well enough? Let me know when it starts. I'm desperate here. Use a giant neon flashing sign if you have to. Get more people aware and involved to have more entries. I want that thing sucessful this year.
I think I remember there being talks about it being done differently or dropped because of the lack of interest. It was advertised in previous years - no one took the bait, and with last year's mini-contests being poorly organised (the final ROM that was meant to come out never did), it wouldn't be outlandish to say it was a failure.
I'm looking forward to seeing what hacks are submitted this year. Some great titles last year. And I myself have jumped onto the hacking trade with my own project ^^. So I hope to make some great content in the future

Part bad organization, part not enough entries. For some of the days, there was only one entry, and they was horrid. Didn't even bother with the final ROM, as it would be pretty much stock S1 with GHz having a bad layout and palette job, one decent MZ lauout, and a new LZ Boss. As far as Mini-Contests for this go round, doubt it, unless we can come up with something that is sound and find a way to make it good. Because participation last year was horrible, partly on me, partly on you guyz =P

I never understood the logic of releasing your own SHC entry early before they all go public, but oh well~ :v: People seem to be doing it anyway. Those of you waiting patiently, the Contest Week and public release begins 19th October, next Monday.

Is the site down or is it just me? The reason I ask is because normally when the SHC goes down, SSRG goes down with it (as it's the same server?) but SSRG is working fine.
Yeah, this is a strange one as usually it affects both. Also, Spanner, you may want to change the title description as it's outdated.
