A belated response: The one with the yellow bat and larger sensor is "New Robo Pitcher" - a successor!
So uh, the first episode of the anime is up now on Crunchyroll and other places. It's basically SEGA in-jokes. Sadly the episodes are only 11 minutes long, with it clearly being cut in half.
I like that apparently the game characters are going to use actual game models- that Ulala seemed pretty Space Channel 5 2, those Chao seem Sonic Generations', Akira obviously is taken straight from VF1, etc Saves money AND is a reference, all fine also apparently there's also a manga with a very nice-looking retro style? hoping it gets scanlated
Sonic looks to use a variation of his SSB4 model, oddly. Also that manga looks mad neat. Looking forward to that way over the show.
Shinryaku! Ika Musume (Squid Girl) had a SEGA Mega Drive. And a 32X too. GESO Ika Drive. And I really need to get to watching the Sega thing.
If I'm right, Squid Girl gets a hold of a game called "Hedgehog Kart" but we never see her play it. Anyway, looks like things are getting interesting in Seha Girls. Especially next week's episode, + - which has Sonic and the girls fighting Eggman and an army of robots in the world of Border Break (which looks like a fun game, honestly. Too bad it's an arcade only thing.) .
The Sega Saturn chick in the show reminds me of Hatsune Miku for some reason; it must be the sleeved parts of her outfit or her eyes. Hell, the show seems to have been rendered entirely from MMD from the looks of it, unless this has been already pointed out. Next episode is definitely gonna be the most interesting. I wonder if + - Sonic is gonna talk; I doubt it since Eggman didn't.
