There are new enemies, but old badniks do seem to be getting more attention. I do agree with that there should be more original ones.
Yes, I do agree with those who think that Egg Pawns and generic enemies have been overused in the past, but if badniks are going to return, there should be new ones at least. I'm tired of seeing the motobug. (Sonic 4 Episode I, Sonic Colours, Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost World...the motobug is quickly becoming the next goomba) The artificial chaos was probably the last enemy that posed a significant threat.
But no Amiga or DOS? Screw this whole thing. Sega, you don't get my money. In seriousness, one thing that I hoped we'd see improve is some of the animation transitions. There's not much in the way of seamless movement between attacks and moves. The kick and transformation segments specifically stand out in this regard.
Wow, way to mislead him like an asshole. Guy was just asking an innocent question. It's for the Jaguar CD.
PS3 is simply not powerful enough to handle Blast Processing at 60 frames per second. PC would require a Windows 8 port, which means the game would be limited to 16 colors onscreen at once.
All right, everyone. Yes, they're easily answered questions that shouldn't need to be spoon-fed to people, but you don't need to put dumb answers. Keep it classy.
Sonic 4 episode II had quite a few new, neat badniks. I was hoping they would keep they ball rolling of a mix of new and old, but if all these appearances of Motobug and the like means we will eventually get GOOD toys of them again, I don't mind. Motobug being Sonic's Goomba is fine by me. I actually hope there is more CD badniks in this.
Motobug in every game is fine. If he's PLAYABLE. (Quick someone mod Motobug as a player character in Sonic Dash)
Well we got the bouncer crabs from Sonic 2 Casino Night Zone and the Mushroom guys from Mushroom Hill, so it seems to me that most enemies will be from the old days.
I like how people complained about how egg pawns and other E-series robots showed a lack of creativity, so SEGA responded by bringing back old badniks. Nothing says creativity like reusing something you already made. While I do admit that classic badniks are a definite step up from what Heroes, 2006, and Unleashed had to offer, is it really that difficult to make new animal-style badniks? That was one of my favorite things about Sonic 4 Episode 2, and I wish they would make a trend out of it instead of just relying on the classics.
SEGA will stop relying on the classics when their IP isn't shot to hell for doing something different, gets generally good press, and isn't constantly compared to 5 titles that came out nearly 20 years ago. Which will be never.

Do you hate Sonic's friends and love wisps? Then you'll love this interview. Personally, this interview has me worried that we might never get a fantastic 3D Sonic game that has Tails and/or Knuckles as playable characters. :/ One of the things I was hoping for from this new engine was to have future games allow me to play as different characters S3&K style. Guess that's unlikely to happen. I like wisps, but I don't feel their execution have been anywhere near as good as elemental shields from S3&K and they make other characters way less useful. Imagine if Knuckles could drill like the drill wisp and he had to find air bubbles in the ground. lol Or actually, they could make it where he could only be in the ground for a limited time period and needed to find surface of some sort, whether that surface be in the ground or above the ground would depend on the level design. They could do cool as hell things with other characters.
It's an Iizuka interview. We already established earlier that he's terrible at PR, take whatever he says with a grain of salt.
