Sonic 1 and 2 getting the Sonic CD treatment by Taxman and Stealth

What are the odds this will work in anbuntu, or an android VM on PC/Linux?

Judging from your last two posts... You seem upset.

This is also a sweeping generalization on your part. Not all people who game on their phones are as you describe, myself included. Hell, I can actually speedrun Sonic CD pretty competently on Android and this is coming from someone who takes that quite seriously.

It takes some getting used to, sure - but the convenience and pleasure of having these amazing games in your pocket is really something special.

Again, great work Taxman and Stealth, even though I'm still eagerly awaiting the Play Store listing. =P

The music sound really amazing remastered, was that little melody playing in the background in the special stages always there?

 

That would require the Android version to be available, wouldn't it? As far as I can tell, the Play Store still hasn't updated with it yet (or if it has, it's not showing up on SEGA of America's page yet).

I wish Google were more reliable about giving (and then meeting) set times and dates for Play Store software releases, but that seems to be a consistant weak point for them.

edit: I really, really wanna stress that I'm not holding this against Taxman or SEGA. This is purely on Google, like late-day Android releases always are.

 

On Android, there's a wonderful app called Wimmote Controller. It lets you use your Wiimote as an android controller and works brilliantly with Android Sonic CD. I assuming it will work with Sonic 1 as well and so will be a useful alternative for anyone who doesn't like touch screen controls.

 

So how exactly do you unlock Tails, Knuckles and + - Sonic 2 mode   ?

 

You unlock Tails by clearing the game, and I believe the + - Sonic 2 Mode (with Tails following Sonic) is simply by hitting the + between both characters.  

As for Knuckles, beat the game with all of the Chaos Emeralds.

EDIT: also I NEED those sound files they're so pretty sounding ;A;

 

Clear the game for the Tails, clear the game with all the Emeralds for Knuckles. + - Same as Tails for S2 mode  

 

I can confirm that this does indeed work. If you have a Wiimote and the Wimmote Controller app, you can use your Wiimote as a controller for this game

 

Unless you're like me and have a Samsung phone with "alternative" bluetooth capabilities (frequencies?), making the Wiimote app unusable and pissing me off to no end.

Still waiting on that Android version Google...

 

Kindle Fire doesn't have any kind of bluetooth, so no controller support for me.

But I got used to Sonic CD with touch controls pretty quickly so it's ok.

 

I can't throw my money at it fast enough. Get with the times, Google Play store.

 

I think we're all missing the point here

This still isn't out on the Android market and that is horrible

I am so unbelievably stoked to play this finally it's been getting me through a tough work day
