Sonic 1 and 2 getting the Sonic CD treatment by Taxman and Stealth

I'm on-board with giving everyone some time to find them themselves. When that happens, though, I'm sure you'll have a ball :P

 

And here I thought Sega would hold out on release until June 23rd. Taxman and Stealth, how long was this remaster in development, if you are allowed to answer that question?

 

I want it on Steam SO much :3

Also, as smug as this sounds... told you all so. Don't think the fun is over though. This is just Act 1... :v:

 

Two weird bugs in the iOS version.

1. The controls take a few seconds to appear and touching where they are only seem to make Sonic crouch. Will be irritating for time-attack.
2. Score music at the end of GHZ act 1 fails to play.

Other than that very impressive, just battling my way through Marble zone - my least favourite zone of all time.

So... When you guys say that it's going to be out in the US on Thursday PST... You mean like 3 AM EST?

 

I think if it's following standard iOS release schedules, it should be available at 11pm EST tonight.

There's no such thing as a standard iOS release schedule.

 

Argh, I'd better get my Android phone fixed ASAP!

Actually there is an option to choose when it goes out once it's passed review but even when you hit the release button it's totally random as to when it'll show up correctly. Sometimes takes 3-4 hours, sometimes no time at all.

You can also limit a release by territory.

I do believe there is an exception to all of this but it's a bit of a conspiracy theory amongst the dev community but it's always a little odd when companies like Facebook and Google release updates as and when they please, and they get an update out real quick if they've done something wrong and yet apparently they're subject to the same process as the rest of us. I guess money talks and I would imagine EA and Sega are also in this little band of companies that Apple gives priority to.

 

Since I'm never up at that point of the night, my only evidence of a release schedule is Touch Arcade's article of new releases every week on Wednesday nights, where they say the apps will be released at 11pm.

 

Updated it as soon as I saw, can't wait to see all the cool new features :v:

It should answer your questions, although in general it seems like when Midnight rolls around you're still left to the mercy of server propagation and load balancing. Multiple users on the same country store will still see the same thing at different times, but worst I've seen is no more than an hour or two.
