Oooooh, something about Sonic Heroes. <3 My mind is only half-blown. To be honest, I can do the special stages very easily, legitimately. Ironically, my method is something like "stay the hell off the ceiling to remain in control". And boosting like a crazy mofo.
It's probably because different, lower-poly models are used for multiplayer to keep the game running at an acceptable rate. Most likely Sonic Team goofed and forgot to add the swoosh in his multiplayer model.
To my knowledge, only 3 sets of Player models exist -- normal gameplay, main menu and cutscene versions, and each cutscene has it's own set of cutscene models because when they made Heroes, they made a point to be as redundant as possible. Can't find any evidence for 2P-versus models existing separately…
He knows good enough English to respond to my questions on Facebook. Here's some of what he said. "I wrote final boss theme of Sonic3D. And coded a sound driver for GENESIS. When making Sonic3, Sonic&Knuckles, Sonic3D,and the other GENESIS games, I made a SoundFX and coded a sound driver. Sometimes wrote a music." I then asked about Howard Drossin, and then he said the following. "What!? Do you know Mr.Drossin!? Yes, It's true. He make a theme music of Sonic&Knuckles, I arranged for GENESIS.I had a good day about 17 years ago." Again, NOT great English, but I still got info, and that's all a language is needed for, right? :P
Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. Are his eyes eerie as all hell? I couldn't even begin to imagine how Eggy's eyes look like... I could swear I heard that it was the first portion of Sonic's Twinkle Park. ...Or maybe he did say Twinkle Circuit, but the video showed footage of the first part of Twinkle Park. I'll fix my post then. I never said that that you should take the inside line, although that is true. My goal was just to make the completion of the stages as easy as possible, and using the inside walls wouldn't be as easy, but it would certainly be faster.
They're just silvery-blue in that one, if I recall. Nothing unusual about 'em, but then, there's no reason for 'em to be.
When I saw that funny pic from the Retro's main page, I remembered that I scanned these pics from my Club Nintendo magazine: Second pic (this one is big)
This render here http://www.mariowiki.com/images/4/40/Knucklesdecal.png Seems to be based off the same pose as this artwork http://images.wikia.com/classicsonicinsider/images/e/ef/Knuckles01_32.png
Well, that's a pretty generic pose, so, it's not really much to go by. I, for one, don't really see it.
Well his gloves are a little higher, he's facing the other way, and his knees are bent since they're longer, but there are definitely some similarities.
Apparently you can get a time over in SA1 by hitting 99:59.99. I haven't tried it for myself, or in the early 2000s games; does this sound true to anyone else?
Technically it'd be 99:59:99 wouldn't it? But geez, the implication that someone spent four hours days on even Casinopolis...
Oh right I thought that was hours:minutes:seconds; haven't touched the game in a while, after all. Also I guess it's cool that the word "hedge ho" actually is a real (compound) word, but for some reason I thought it had a very different meaning. :P
