I actually love the new version of the intro music - I pretty much agree with Mercury, actually. Now I'm curious if Sonic's voice is still in the game.
The singer is a yeasty skank, it is good they got rid of her. It is just too bad no one else could have covered it.
Rather, am I expected to eat a rotten egg just because it happened to come from the chicken who lays golden ones? What you're saying even makes matters worse, because the end product is still poor and now I have the sad knowledge that Taxman actually spent a fair amount of effort on it. I'm wondering how troublesome would it be to clear Brand New World and When We Reach For You, the corresponding tracks on the remix album. The base melody is about the same, it has the same electronic style as the rest of the game's soundtrack and as far as I know, Casey Rankin didn't write the alternate lyrics. I would much prefer those tracks over hollow versions of the originals.
Sigh, it just sounds so wrong without any vocals being in there..... So ya, Dude, Taxman, whats the story behind some of what went down behind the scenes ? Not just with the music, want to get the low down on anything else u can share with us.
Evidently, the lyrics were left out of this version of Sonic CD so we could use the new instrumental to record these new lyrics on top of it.
We totally should have done a karaoke competition instead of a drawing one for the Sonic CD comp that's going on. Ah well, next time Gadget :P
Considering how bad the re-record done for the PC version was compared to the MCD original, even when they used the original singer, I'm not sure I'd want a second person to do it as well...
Oh, DERP. Sorry, I meant the various re-releases they've done with the song on on OSTs. Was thinking of my US OST'd copy of Sonic CD.
