Here are some pictures of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics at GAMEfest 2011. Starting off is pictures of the venue including a card which gives you a brief description about the game. Next up is a picture of the cartridge that was used for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics 3DS. For those of you who might not have seen something like this before, the structure of the 3DS Dev cartridge is very similar to this one [here] which is a NDS Dev cartridge. While on the subject of development stuff, check out the 3DS development units Config [Picture 1] [Picture 2] & Dev Menu [Picture 1] [Picture 2] programs. Here's a picture of the rotating banner, icon and name of the 3DS program including its build date. Pictures of the 3DS title screen, thank you for playing screen, gameplay etc. Finally, the title screen for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics (Wii) including the thank you for playing screen. I have a couple more shots of the title screen here as well [Picture 1] [Picture 2]. The 3DS version confused me at first because I didn't know what to do in some of the gaming events. I eventually got it down; good stuff. A lot of making use of the 3DS that's for sure. The only thing I tried out in the Wii version was the Football event which was loads of fun. For those of you who would like to see the rest of the pictures I took of GAMEfest 2011 (which includes other pictures of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics etc.), you can check them out [here].
That's how it's been in the other M&S Olympics titles. The dev team doesn't have that advanced side-mouth technology yet I guess.
Would I be the only one who feels like the game would feel more worldly if they added more franchises to the mix?
I'm a big fan of crossovers in general, I wish they could make a Smash Bros with all the characters from all the videogames ever existed, mugen-style, but that's not going to happen
So.. they've met us halfway with the whole Mario & Sonic platformer thing? I dunno, but either way that trailer is awesome. I actually want to play this now! ..or at least London Party mode. :v:
"This is so non-canon it hurts." I never bothered picking up Winter Olympics after playing the first one, but this one might just be worth getting after all. =P
This is beginning to look like what I had hoped it wasn't. Choppy dated models, forced psuedo-platforming gameplay, no real indication of effort outside of the fancy CGI trailer... On a technical level, the graphics don't even appear to rival those of the original game. What's going on? EDIT: And what's with the weird Pac-Man minigame, are they really running that low on ideas? Don't forget to buy them all!
There we go. Sidemouth makes him look slightly less...flamboyant, if you will. But yeah, this game kinda looks like ass. Methinks they're reusing old assets that look dated compared to more recent titles.
Mario Party does the same thing. These types of games are hardly impressive on any scale - at least the CG is good.

So hey, when are they gonna make Mario & Sonic Shuffle Party? Seriously, they should just make a game with only dream events. Those look way more fun than the regular ones. I mean, look at that Windy Valley. Holy crap. ._.
