Where are my blue screens at? YOU SAID I WOULD LIKE THIS! Jokes aside, nice job Taxman. Like I said before, I don't like CD much but I'm a fucking tool. :v:
No WiiWare version? Oh well. At least Sonic CD is finally getting a good re-release, with the Japanese soundtrack for all regions no less.
They even remade the Euro box art on their Flickr! http://www.flickr.com/photos/segaamerica/6078402360/sizes/o/in/photostream/ Instant wallpaper.
I was convinced Sega would screw this up, but Japanese soundtrack? Retro Engine? Widescreen? Sonic 2 spindash? PSN, Steam and Android? Shit, I may just buy 2-4 copies of this. (Not sure if I'll buy all 3 of Steam, XBLA and PSN, but Android would be nice.)
The widescreen display made me wonder about something... will the "Sonic CD camera" be also an option? I'm seeing Sonic very centered in that footage, which feels a bit odd after playing the original for so many years. It wouldn't be so bothersome to anybody now that there's more free space on the sides, even though it also won't be needed as much now.
It does - a pathetic 38 megabytes per download. That's why Wiiware missed out on Super Meat Boy and Explodemon. That aside - this is some great news. I'm definitely picking this up.
Congrats to the Taxman. The trailer is shockingly bad though, distgusting, but hey -- Sega :P [Also, Hi. Oldbie here]
Yeah, the camera is also tied into the spindash you choose. You pick one game style or the other. Anyway, I think I've said to much since I'm not the one meant to be marketing this!
I love you Taxman. Congratulations, you really deserve them. I'll definetely get this on multiple platform. Can't wait to play this Sonic CD.
Fffucking awesome. You may be no PR guy, but you've just sold me a game, something that RubyEclipse couldn't do with Sonic 4.
Well done, Taxman! It's safe to assume then that this is your work? It's ironic that they're calling this a prequel to Sonic 4, when RetroSonicNexusXG would have been far better received than Dimps' shoddy effort. I like how they've decided all of a sudden that Sonic CD comes after Sonic and Knuckles.
Guess I'll have to hack in the US Soundtrack. Any way you can hint what format the sound files are, Taxman? :P
Ironic, the press release says nothing about Sega of Japan, and Sega of America and Europe get to say we have the Japanese soundtrack (in Europe's case, again).
Are you sure this is actually on Steam? I don't see Steam mentioned anywhere in the trailer or the press release.
Well, alright, it doesn't actually says Steam, but I think there is a high chance it will pop up there.
