    I don't see why not use both. Let's say, badniks all around, and Egg Pawns serving as sort of their commanders? Much like the Egg Robos? Then to the end, a level of nearly only Egg Pawns, like Sky Sanctuary.

    I always loved them Egg Pawns, and just felt SEGa should have been wackier when doing their variations.

    In fact, showign some sort of hierarchy would be awesome. You'd have 20 badniks. then 5 Egg Pawns commanding them, and one Egg Robo commanding the rest.

    I mentioned this way back in the topic. I'd love to see the return of badniks, but making individual ones for each zones would probably be too much for them to bother. Ugh.

    I always liked this Egg Robo design. It's certainly easier on the eyes compared to those new, retardedly-grinning ones.

    In all seriousness, just because the Eggman logo features smiling-Eggman-face doesn't mean I wanna see that on every robot he creates. Animal-themed badniks with animal-themed power supplies ftw.

    Though I obviously prefer the old style badniks.

    No unfortunately it was riddled with Egg pawns. Sonic Rush Adventure had some more original enemies though.

    Well. I know I remember bats in the Carnival type level. It's been too long for me to remember anything else.

    There are bats yes, but it's really just a modified Egg pawn =P At least that game was slightly creative as it came up with original egg pawns =P
     
  15. Heroes had unique Egg Pawns for the casino levels, so that's not too surprising.

    Rush Adventure was a step in the right direction with enemy design, but they're not as memorable as those of old.

    You know what Sega should do? They should make the game about teh average length of your usual 2D Sonic of old [About 2-3 hours?] but have unlockable characters to use after you finished it with Sonic that can change the way you play it.

    So you can have the colorful cast they've built up, not have annoying storyline changes with Random Annoying Thing that happens to be an animal and it's quest for the Shiny MacGuffin interlinking with Shadow/Silver/Blaze/insert other annoying bastards here's dire need to take a leak and add to the replay value.

    I'd buy it.

    Well... yes and no.

    Of course it has to make itself its own game, for starters. And I'd like to be FORCED to play as Sonic first and foremost. It's his freaking series, after all. And before you bring up the Adventure 1/Advance's forcing you to play Sonic and then unlocking others as you go [not just you Chimpo, I mean anyone] I'd like the unlocks to only come once you finish the game.

    Otherwise, yeah, I guess I'd like them to take some hints from Sonic 3. Why not?

    Y'know, I was never a fan of Sonic 1. Actually, out of all of the Sonic games I have played (pretty much all of the mainstream games, save for a few recent ones like Black Knight, Chronicles), Sonic 1 is probably in my Bottom 3 Sonic games. I'm actually kinda surprised (yet EXTREMELY thankful) that it ever got a sequel. In fact, I never actually beat Sonic 1 (unless beating multiple versions of Megamix counts =] ).
