Super Sonic in level, Sonic heroes.

    I started loading the boss battle, then switch what level to load with ram hacking. And he stayed super but loading into another level. The ring counter does not go down, but he cannot be hurt.


    Currently going to work on a way of hotfixing this into ram.


    Edit: Fixed typos.

    Awesome, perhaps we can finally tell how Super Sonic would feel in a regular 3D level? :psyduck:

    Does Super Sonic run/fly at the speed he usually does? Does he retain his powers (other than invulnerability)?

    Only Super Sonic does the animation, the others still act normal.

    Great work! Have you tried taking a snapshot of the game's alloted RAM area in the same sort of circumstances when Sonic is super and when he's not super? It may be possible to find the exact triggers which load Super Sonic then, which will allow you to trigger the effect at will.

    Eager to see the fruits of your labor, in any case. :psyduck:

    My GOD: Judging from the video, Super Sonic in reg 3D levels feels exactly as it does in Sonic 2 and 3K -- a nice bonus that,
    1. If you collected the emeralds before the end, gives you a sense of accomplishment in the remaining levels,
    2. If you're playing from the beginning, gives the game replay value (at least for a little bit)

    It makes me wonder why Sonic Team never bothered with the functionality! I honestly think it would've given the 3D games an extra "oomph", or at least serve as a nod to the 2D games...

    And the ram addresses, I believe link has, I'm going to ask him about that next time he's on msn.

  20. lol yes, he has that move in level 3. However, tails has different moves in his super form...>_>.
