I'm not listing Hot Shelter, since I can only have 10 choices, and it's the only one Sonic can't go to. :argh: If that's your favorite, just click View Results (Null Vote) and post here.

Favorite Action Stage: Final Egg, because I just like the style of it.
Favorite Adventure Field: Egg Carrier, for the same reason. Though I do wish it was bigger and had more Action Stages...

Don't make me choose between Emerald Coast and Speed Highway..... ffffff....

Alright, Speed Highway, just for the last section (At Dawn), which is sooooo nonlinear, it puts the rest of the game to shame. No, really; how many different ways can you get through it?

  3. Windy Valley Act 3 is the stage that convinced my to buy a Dreamcast all those years ago.

    Sky Deck A Go! Go!

It's no surprise that my favorite 3D level is the successor to my favorite 2D level (Flying Battery Zone). I was tempted to go with Twinkle Park, though.

Speed highway is kind of funny, the first part is everything wrong with 3D Sonic, the last part is everything right about it.

Never a truer word said, my friend. But that last part somehow failed to become a template for how to successfully design a 3D Sonic stage, so meh.

    Favorite Sonic Action Stage:

Red Mountain. You must climb high above the clouds to a lava spire and you see a great view, then scenery changes into an underground cavern, and the lava is rising. You escape via rocket to the mountain's peak. I like it because of all this beautiful transition, and because I find myself playing it the most. I also like the music of the first section.

    Favorite Adventure Field:

Egg Carrier: Actually infiltrating Eggman's large ship of technology and exploring it? (In 3d) That has not been repeated. I find the music to be awesome here.

    Favorite Boss:

Egg Viper: Not a generic monster, but your nemesis in a powerful menacing machine of doom. The final attempt to make Sonic fall makes this battle different. The music makes you think: "This is it: I'm going to beat that Eggman." Once you get the hang of this fight, it becomes fun.

Fav Action Stage: speed highway: As linear as it is, I remember replaying this level the most. The distinctive style, design, music, and city background just warms me up.
Fav Adventure Field: Meh, I don't care for the adventure fields. But I guess Station Square b/c it's cool not confusing like the forest in mystic ruin, and the music is amazing.

Yeah, Egg Carrier is the best Adventure Field. Mystic ruin has the worst Chao Garden, though. Once when I was Showing Sonic Advanture to a friend, I went to that Garden and jumped to my death, in order to get a "wtf" out of him. It worked.

Egg carrier is only the best because every surface has collision.

Station square had the most potential, but it was wayyy too small.

Emerald Coast tops everything. I could remember playing that over and over again at a kiosk in Sears.

Maybe Windy Valley Act 3 if the camera angles weren't so goofy around the bend, and maybe Windy Valley Act 1 if it were longer.

My favorite would have to be Sky Deck, but Speed Highway comes in second.

Easily Lost World for Sonic. If only more 3D levels were like that...

But my favorite level of this game is actually Amy's Hot Shelter. So intense. <3

And the best Adventure Field is Station Square; the best Chao Garden and also access to Twinkle Park mini-game~

You and I will likely get along quite well.

Hot Shelter not being on the list at all is quite lame indeed. I went with Lost World but Red Mountain (2nd, as it has lots of shortcuts, cool music and graphics, and the third area has no death pits) and Ice Cap (1st and 2nd area are platforming areas with no pits again!) are both very close.

That last area in Lost World is utterly brilliant. Took me forever to get through it but I did. I loved most of the first part, though the enclosed bits were kinda basic, dull, and empty, but I saw them as just getting prepared for the snake area. Death pits, yes, but reasonably forgiving, and easy to speed through if you can ride the snake right.

Second part has that cool boulder chase too. The area after the waterfall has oddly placed death pits, though, as you can actually jump out of them.

Speed Highway's first part is probably the worst level in Sonic Advance, and the second part is also bad due to the way Sonic handles, and turns me off from the okay final bit, which is far, far too short.

Hm. So long as this doesn't become another mass-poll trend, I'll let this topic go. Make sure you justify your choices, though! :)

This is one of those polls that I may change my mind about tomorrow, or next week, because I pretty much like all the Sonic Adventure levels...

... But I voted for Twinkle Park. Why? Well, on top of the fun Twinkle Cart section, Pleasure Castle was designed in such a way that it was "tiered". By that, I mean Sonic started at the bottom of the castle and worked his way up. So, unlike the first part of Speed Highway, if you screwed up a jump and fell, it wasn't always death by pitfall.

Plus, it had bowling for ring bonuses. It's stage-specific gimmicks like that which seem to be lacking in contemporary level designs.

A tie between Windy Valley and Speed Highway for obvious reasons.
