The point remains that the sprites should be the primary focus, being the things actually included within the game. Otherwise, there's absolutely no point in actually sticking to anything if we feel it'll look better another way. This isn't interpretation of the pixels as has happened with everything else, but actually throwing away the pixels according to choice.

I don't know, somehow his eye area bugs me. I think the blue part of him gets WAY too much into his face, or too close to the nose. Other than that, cool!
<!--quoteo(post=258445:date=Dec 21 2008, 01:32 AM:name=Vincent)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Vincent @ Dec 21 2008, 01:32 AM) TD One more to go.
I agree with Strike Da Mic. There is a bit too much "blue area" between his eye and muzzle, as Sonic's eye seems to begin a little earlier (more to the right) than normal. I'll try my best to demonstrate it here: - The Green Line is where Sonic's eye begins from - The Red Line is where the lowest point of the top outline of the muzzle For the standing frame, you can see that Sonic's eye starts more towards the left and his mouth, which is more natural and closer to the official artwork. For this frame, his eye begins slightly more to the right and his nose, giving a drowsy look for our sleepy hedgehog ^^ As a result, the green line is to the right of the red line rather than it being to the left. So try to have Sonic's eye begin more towards the left of his eye in the same position his eye begins from the muzzle in the standing frame and see how that looks. Thanks
Agreed, it definitely suits Sonic there :P Anyway, I definitely like the shading you've done at the back of Sonic's foot there - it doesn't make Sonic's foot look as triangle-looking there [well, that's my excuse to show off my Eggman Santa ]
Holy shit... I didnt saw it coming xD... That avatar is just awesome vinc... By the way, about the blue area, lizam is right... n-n Edit... I forgot to say that Merry Xmas everyone n-n

Good job as always Vinc. Like the staff said, even Christmas and holydays and your work never decreases n-n
Great work, but please allow me to criticize. <!--quoteo(post=259886:date=Dec 25 2008, 06:34 PM:name=Vincent)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Vincent @ Dec 25 2008, 06:34 PM) TD
Hmm, doesn't the mouth position look a bit more "correct" in the older frame? Perhaps it's just the way it's tilted... Also, I've just noticed something a little odd in the latest ubers... It looks like Sonic's belly doesn't have a full blue bottom anymore, and his legs are directly coming from his belly's clear part. I mean... this: Against this: (Sonic isn't exactly on-model in this pic, but it shows the bottom of his belly clearly)
Oh, Gosh! You're right. Thanks for pointing that out, I forgot to remove the previous frame layer. --- Yeah ICE, the mouth position didn't look too good to me as well (I know it's there for only a quarter of second, but I like quality! ) How about this? P.s. I've seen the leg problem, but It's really difficult to fix as it implies to restudy and redraw all the frames. I'll keep that in store once the Final HD ver. comes out!
Looks like he's giving himself some lovin' down there... I kid, I kid. .D You've been doing an amazing job Vincent. Your TD styled SuperSonic in your avatar is incredible as well. Though his right foot (our left) looks kinda odd...
