Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie

Unfortunately it's the US film version, and showing the edited footage. No dirty finger for Metal Robotnik.
Or "Black Machine King", as the subs would say. Tails = Diluss, Knuckles = KNUCKLUS, Dr. Robotnik = Machine King.

I would've thought the names would've generally be the same in all languages. D:

 

Then you've never seen Italian dubs of animes. 90% of them have been completely raped.

 

The concept was cool, and the animation was great, but the voice acting was so annoying (imho). I wanted to throw a brick at Tails and send Sonic to Australia (he had a weird European accent about him). Metal Sonic's voice was hilarious though.

Otherwise it was cool. Metal Sonic is one of the sickest Sonic villains of all time, he should get his own game!

 

And they always tend to replace opening with catchy trance music :P

Probably because the actor, Martin Burke is Irish. And, FYI Australia != Europe.

 

Imagine pronouncing Dr. Robotnik and Rabot?ik. See the difference?

You're still lucky. The stores in this WHOLE COUNTRY suck so I'll never find it on DVD or VHS.

I said that because he didn't sound wholly australian but still had faint traces, so maybe European

That takes me back. I saw this movie a long time ago. It was the first DVD I ever watched!

 

God this movie is full of win. Especially all the weird things like the enterprise on the side of Sonics place, him flipping the camera off, and of course tails grabbing some tits (man was it awesome).

 

STRRAAANGE, ISN'T IT?

Love this movie, never gets old.

 

And let's not forget where Metal Robotnik shoots his sticky bombs out of. XD

Seriously, I LOVE this movie. I remember my Dad getting it for me on VHS for Christmas YEARS ago, like when it first came out. I didn't even know the movie existed until he bought it for me.

Best part is when Metal's head is sticking up through the bottom of Robotnik's Hovercraft and Sara's holding her dress down whilst kicking him in the head and yelling,

"No, no no! Don't look there you pervert!"

I'm like, "... well, wear a longer skirt or some pants, genius! Seriously, whaddya think is gonna be visible when you sit down in a skirt THAT short?!"

I also thought Old Man Owl was funny. He reminds me of my Grandpa... but more lucid.

 

Robotnik got those clothes for her though, not her choice. =P

 

I found my copy at a Toys R Us when I was like 12 or 13. It was on VHS for a good price. 6 or 7 bucks.

 

Just uploaded a fuckton of stills to my photobucket (wallpaper 'em if you wanna). Awesome movie is awesome.

EDIT: Yeah, alright. They're on the grainy side. I .mp4'ed my own DVD rip to fit on my iPod, but this is the best quality I got short of going 100+miles back home to grab my DVD. Apologies.

 

I had my copy on VHS, and I distinctly remember the middle finger, not some silly index.

 

I consider this movie to be the best animated rendition of Sonic to date, only surpassed by the SCD blurb.

Sonic's at his fastest and most acrobatic in this movie, the feeling of speed and power the actions have put Sonic X to face-shattering shame.

His personality is spot-on - he has the edge that I sorely miss in the post-SA era.

Metal Sonic is awesome, Eggman is funny without being harmless, Tails and Knuckles get some share of the action, and the rest don't get in the way much.

And it's all so fucking awesome.

Yeah, I think this has a lot to do with why I thought Ep. 3 was the worst one of the new 3 movies, and I do remember actually comparing it to this bit while in the theaters. SO MUCH BETTER.
