Wow you guys just now heard about this huh? My cousin has it, he brought it over a few months ago. It's pretty gay, it has Sonic 3 sprites, yeah, but that's the only cool thing about it >_> Horrible engine, from what I remember. I handed him my PSP and he ended up playing Megamix for a couple hours :P

Oh wait, I just watched that commercial, he has the older leapfrog. There might actually be 2 leapfrog sonic games.

EDIT: aha, here it is. The Sonic X game is the first gen and this new one is better.

 

There's Sonic X and Sonic Didj. I do believe they're seperate games.

Here's some really crappy camera pics I took in Wal-Mart. Sorry I was in a hurry and some employees were looking at me weird.
What I found interesting is that it says something about online functionality where earning enough points will let you customize your game.
I'm also digging the groovy character art from....Sonic Adventure I think?

What the box says:

I can't complain about the graphics.

 

It looks like they have access to the art from Sonic 2 and 3... I think it's time to start trying to contact the devs :P

This is actually interesting!

 

With the exception of the misplaced Carnival Night cannon in Emerald Hill!

If they have access to the original art and can manipulated it, I want my Sonic 1, 2, and 3K HD remakes already!

So it looks like we have Emerald Hill, Chemical Plant, Hydrocity, and Angel Island. I haven't felt this ripped off with a Sonic game since Sonic 3! I wonder what they have done music wise....


EDIT: OK guys, it doesn't help when I am searching for the game and within the first 10 listings 4 of them are links to Sonic Retro/Sonic 2 Beta, ha

went and looked up Sonic Leapfrog and found this. really interesting. SOmeone find the game and rip those sprites. Some look new, most look sonic 3

There seems to be a couple of Sonic Advance animations with Sonic 3's graphics, whoever made that game at least put some effort into it... or perhaps SEGA just game them the animations they were going to use for Sonic 4, or something.

 

God, those new animations on the sonic 3 sprite in Sonic X were pretty wicked.

And I would love to meet that woman, take her out on a nice date, then throw a teleprompter in front of her that made her say "take me, man meat".
