What music is used in the European game? JAP or US?

  8. Japanese. Because of this the US version was the last to be released.

    (take that you fgts)

I think it's more likely that the fact SEGA of America wanted a new soundtrack caused it to be released later. SEGA of Europe new what was hot, in fact, my Sonic CD copy of Mean Machines goes on about how they love the 90s influences in the Sonic CD soundtrack.

  10. That's what I meant, because SoE didn't have to wait for a new soundtrack they could release it sooner.

The music for Palmtree Panic, US, was influenced by another song as mentioned in the US manual. Anyone know what the song is? I think it was from 1988.

Never mind, I found out. The rhythms for Palmtree Panic were influenced by a song by Pete Escovedo and called Mister E. I'm going to try to find that song.

I've listened to a few Pete Escuvedo albums, and the whole soundtrack seems to be influenced by the Pete E stuff, once you stop paying attention to the guitars.

Imagine you enjoy smoking cigars. Now think of that Cuban best cigar line, that you rarely can appreciate, but that REALLY gives you the best experience when you do. That's Sonic CD.

It's the best Sonic game. Amazing music, Level Design, art...but Sonic wouldn't be Sonic if every Sonic game was just like it. It's, how can I say, exotic. I like it because it's a unique Sonic game.

Well, from what I remember, the sprite/character designer was the Art Director for ST USA.
He was also one of the special stage designers. Kazuyuki Hoshino

The guy who created Tails also helped Kaz design the special stages in Sonic CD.

The director of Sonic CD works at Artoon, though that's not any thing new to talk about.

Apart from those 3 people, everybody else who worked on Sonic CD no longer even work in the game industry. In fact, most of the Sonic CD staff were new. You could read any game credits at moby games.
