The Sonic Franchise Fix

Well, I exaggerated a little bit: I think it could have been at least as good as Sonic Heroes. Seriously, when I look at gameplay videos and see people not screwing up or running into glitches, I think it could have been halfway decent had it been given more time.

 

If they release a patch to fix the bugs and glitches in Sonic 06 I'll consider that taking a step in the right direction.

 

How is that a step in the right direction?

 

They acknowledge that the game was released prematurely and are willing to make up for it by fixing it rather than just leaving it as is and going onto their next project.

 

Oh fuck off, numbers are a horrible fucking way to review a game anyways. Especially when it comes to IGN.

And there's no way that Sonic 06 was worse than Shadow. And SA worse than SA2? I find that hard to believe. Fuck IGN, and fuck number-based reviews. Or letter grade reviews, for that matter.

 

Or they could learn from their mistakes, move on to the next projects, and insure that they don't make the same fuck ups.

Besides, I think Heroes is deserving of AT LEAST a 7.2, dare I say even a 7.6.

 

Most definitely. Heroes ought to have been the worst in the series.

That said, what I really wanted was Sonic 3 with the Heroes gimmick.

 

Argue all you want that numbers don't reflecv the quality of a game. Recent Sonic efforts, as per many experts and gamers alike, have been atrocious, a raping of classic Sonic. You have a right to like them, but you're in the minority. Saying one game is better than another because it got a 7.3 instead of a 7.2 is dumb. Still, if a game is panned by critics there's almost always a reason.

 

I will say that IMO the score for Sonic '06 is crap considering I was able to finish the game whereas Sonic Heroes I got so frustrated I was unable to complete the game and took it back to GameStop.

 

Stop doing them.

Take the time to restart the franchise from the most successful MD-era's title, for art and features.
Than, go on.

 

Judging by Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis, I have little faith for them to do even that.

Well, if my educated guesses are right, we'll have a six and a seven for Black Knight and Unleashed, and maybe an eight for Chronicles.
