    People here just seem to be used to having an emerald of sorts in the banner? :P

    As for the whole merger shenanigans, I'm glad it's not as destructive as this one.

    Another idea - one could have the emerald be the new star, while still having Sonic stand on top of it? I think it would look a bit clunky having him at the bottom, standing on nothing, while the emerald is perfect. Plus, the emerald adds some additional S2B-related imagery into the mix, since it's been part of our logo since, well, forever?

    That was kinda the reason for the emerald, for S2Beta. The starpost circle was kinda the logo for Sonic Retro, in a way, so that's why I kept it.

    It's all better than the nondescript "IPB" that's there now.

    EDIT: Nevermind, that's only on this skin. Nevertheless, the logo needs to be added to the Super Sonic skin.

    The problem here is that having the emerald where it is now is a massive waste of vertical space and forces either the header to be too fat or the emerald to overlap the information bar, both of which look stupid.

    EDIT: Also, the problem with having the star in the back be an emerald is that you'd barely be able to see it - the point at the bottom would be near-totally obscured by Sonic.

    The only thing I can think of to do, emerald-wise, is to put Sonic+Emerald in front of the circle-star between Sonic and Retro. :S

    EDIT: and I'm sorry, but "waste of vertical space" is the biggest load of bullshit ever. Unless someone is viewing the site at a resolution of 320x240 a whole 48 pixels isn't going to make much of a difference from the bloody emerald.

    I like that one too, also, I do worry sometimes about vertical space, because I do go on here on occasion with my PSP and DS.
