Blaze is not in the ROM. That sprite set is most likely from an engine test BEFORE the models were made.

 

I wish they kept drummond's voice. It fits better. Bit loud though. Anyways, I wish I could play the ROM demo, but oh well. Funny thing about that reference video though, the life icon was from Sonic Advance 3.

I like the soundtrack too. Not that the final soundtrack was bad, but this has it's own good qualities about it.

Now I hope someone finds a Sonic Advance 2 and a Sonic Advance 1 beta. If a different Sonic Advance 3 beta can be found (One that's earlier in production), that'll be good too.

Man now I really need to get a DS-Xtreme, or something similar. Damn this only having $7 in my bank account.

 

Yeah, we ended up lending it for $150, and Lightning dumped it using his DS dumping magic.

 

I prefered the actual final music. The E3 music kinda makes the game feel a little cheaper, IMO.

 

In case anyone's curious, I've seen pictures of a cart like that before, it's Nintendo's (?) official EEPROM they use to send review copies of the game. It's got the serial (look near metal contacts on cart) which are similar to those on normal DS carts but... different letters of course. They can be over-written with the right equipment, and iirc there used to be diagrams and instructions publicly available on Intelligent System's website with all their other Dev hardware.
