Since I can't find any information anywhere about this, has anyone used Vector35's Binary Ninja, and specially its 68K architecture and Genesis plugins, for reverse engineering Mega Drive/Genesis games? I'm becoming interested in this field, and unfortunately IDA Pro is simply out of my price range.

    Have you looked into Ghidra?

I don't know anything about the aforementioned tools, but I know Nemesis' Exodus emulator has some awesome disassembly capabilities.

I don't think there's a single person here who has IDA Pro in their price range. And yet...

  5. Let's be honest, who actually legally owns IDA on this forum?

...Yea, that was not something I had entertained seriously.
I gave it a try, but quickly gave up. Not very user friendly, and even with a Genesis rom loader, struggled to get it to produce much of anything.
