Okay, maybe "very early" was the wrong word to use, but moreso earlier within the rendering pipeline that it isn't fully lit and shaded properly yet. So rather than "earlier" as in old, I mean earlier as in "unfinished within the general animation process". Although yeah, I am unsure of whether the actual show will look like this... which it will be disappointing if so, as that looks fairly... not finished.
I know that 3D productions can change over a relatively-short amount of time. There's a new Dragon Ball movie coming out this month in Japan, and the most recent trailers have some significant lighting (and maybe model?) differences from when it was first revealed, and this was supposed to come out in April but was delayed due to the Toei hack. So things can change in a short amount of time. But...they probably won't, here. I think Shadow looks a little weird here, but I don't think it's some problem that comes from the show not being done. I think it's just a kind of bad-looking shot.
Not very early, but early enough as unless another delay comes it still has like 6 months before the currently intended release. No time for any drastic revisions, which I thankfully don't believe it requires to a be a good time, but ample time for refinement.
Another new clip, combined with the original 15-second teaser. Did not expect him to be in the show. Assuming this is still early, though; the sound mix sounds really off.
Thank goodness we have CONFIRMATION Big The Cat exists in this universe. I have absolutely no idea where this show, let alone the entire Sonic series, would be if it weren't for the sacrifices and heroism of Big The Cat.
Big seemed to have a bit more spunk and speech speed than usual. They could've slowed him down in all senses. But it's nice he's back.
I audibly "awww"'d at the Sonic/Big interaction. I love seeing Big back and speaking in a tone that reflects the nature of his character without sounding way too dumb. And we got confirmation of Sonic, Big, and Shadow. Hopefully we see more actual Sonic characters in this unlike Boom.
I love the lighting. I hate the fact they're using the clay-like style. Not a fan of that style and way too many things use it. It always ends up looking super cheap.
Steffan Andrews and Mike Shields. Also, in the quickest turnaround ever, I retract my statement on the art style. However, I think the lighting needs to show off the detail that's there more.
I just love the fact that they revealed Big before Tails or Knuckles or any other character -besides Shadow-
Eh, not a fan of Big's voice direction. The slow dopiness is very iconic and inextricably linked to his character at this point. Is it stock as hell? Sure. Does it work? Hell yes.
Not against Big showing up at all. Still sad they can't use the standard voice actors but with who they chose to make the show it's not an option, so.
