Sonic 25th Party 2016 - San Diego

While I would love this, I wouldn't be surprised if they only show a teaser trailer (Like the "Classic Sonic meets Modern Sonic" one for Generations). The game isn't going to be released until next year, so it seems a bit too early to be letting people try out the game. Hopefully, I am wrong, as the wait has been too long, especially as they started teasing the game at the start of the year.

 

I'm not gonna be able to watch the stream tonight. Will there be a way to jump to a link to the recording or something so I won't get spoiled by the internet?

 

I truly hope that after all these cryptic teases, what they're showing isn't just a lame trailer with barely 5 seconds of gameplay with "coming soon" plastered all over it.
They did that for the first trailer of Sonic 4 Ep 1 and recently for Fire & Ice at E3 2016 which they really couldn't afford to after the one year delay and mocking Might n9 trailer.

 

It should be watchable here after the stream is done.

 

Cool. Hopefully after a year of teasing, this is actually worth it!

Goddamn work schedules! At least I know when I wake up tomorrow morning there will (most probably) be some good Sonic news! Hell, it might give us something to talk about at Summer of Sonic anyway if nothing else! :v:

 

I can imagine them unveiling a future announcement.

It's four hours long? Well, I'll make sure to clear my schedule tomorrow.

 

Real talk though. This has been going on for, what, a year? More? Idk. They've been teasing and throwing memes left and right, giving cryptic hints and all that nonsense. Here's the problem though. It is the Sonic fan base, and simply because of the nature of said fan base a certain part of it will no doubt be unsatisfied. Hell, even those who said game appeals to may not be satisfied. They've been hyping this for too long, and while the Sonic Twitter may be herald as the god send of Social Media fuckery, this is the exact moment where it will blow up in their face. They cannot satisfy everyone, and the memes over the past year are just salt in the wounds.

Basically, this better be good. They've set this up to determine Sonic's future. If it's shit, Sonic's done.

 

Because the new game has been hyped so much, I have tried to dehype myself as much as I can, incase I become disappointed...

 

With how they've been hyping this game up I really hope they've got something special in store.

But I am prepared for disappointment.
