Sonic (?): Coming summer of 2055...?
Truth be told, animators these days seem to be taking care not to provide any accidental upskirt shots. Besides that, I guess they figured nobody would be sexually interested in looking up there anyway.

Considering Rouge's original SA2 model, I wouldn't be surprised they did it somewhat intentionally...

J.League PK Party, a "penalty kick" minigame.
Ha ha wow, I didn't even know where the cars were coming from in that level. That's so hilarious. Thanks for showing me that. :v:

I can't defend Ghouls n'Ghosts but the older Castlevania games were built around your limitation with your jumping ability. The platforming really isn't anything complex and you don't move so fast you really need to make precise jumps.

As for this topic, maybe this has been explained elsewhere but Robotnik must be filthy stinking rich to build all the machines he does and have to constantly repair them with as many times as Sonic destroys them.

Also, loops. Who the hell builds these things in the middle of nowhere? In terms of practicality, why are they even there? How does a loop naturally form in the middle of a field of green grass? Why does no one ask this?

I have always wondered, how Sonic can avoid all the obstackles/obstacles? in such a high speed? When looking trailers or those CGI videos. He should be getting hit, as there is no way in real life, that you can avoid random things coming at you when you run so fast and then able to realise in milliseconds and run past it :P.

Also, why does Super Sonic get HIT in Knuckles area, by falling on a spiked ball in Ice Cap zone act 1? He should be invinsible!! Does that mean that ball is stronger than Super Sonic?

The same way somehow he's able to move feet that fast without tripping over by doing a wrong step.

And the leg spinning too without him breaking any bones.

If you mean his classic style running animation, that's really just the path his feet make, his legs never spin. Although a better question is how can he move his feet that high (though they again, if his body is elastic enough he can move his legs that fast, chances are his body can tolerate rising his legs that high as well).

EDIT: what about the 8-shaped feet spinning in Sonic CD though? (though actually that goes through different shapes implying he moves so fast it doesn't make any tangible path)

Robotnik's been doing it wrong all these years. All he needed were few loose rocks to trip him the whole time. :v:

You mean the Super Peel Out? I just assumed those animations were exaggerations to show how fast Sonic is. I never thought that his body literally moved that way. I really liked the Peel Out, shame it never really made a return but with the spin dash, it's not really needed I suppose.

Seeing if I could find anything on the internet about this, I bumped into this site which I found pretty interesting:

Lol concept-mobius. They gave up that skeletal structure thing when they realised that there is no way to explain Tails spinning his tails to fly, period. Good times.

The Peel-Out is basically Sonic's running oscillation sped up to the point where one would only see the red in his shoes. The front curve of the 8 is the curve of one shoe, and the back curve is the other. The ribbon of red in between just shows the afterimaged path of Sonic's shoe/leg from front to back. A great example of this is his running animation in SSBB:

Why is floating island seen in the background of knuckle's fight with mecha sonic? Sky Sanctuary is on floating island.
Also the island sinks when you beat the game even when you get the master emerald. It only stays floating if you have all the chaos emeralds I think.

You reach there through a teleporter. For all we know it may be a completely separate structure not related to Angel Island at all.

Huh, you don't manage to retrieve the Master Emerald if you don't get all the Chaos Emeralds.

Eh, not really. You get insta-warped to SS, so there's no hard evidence to suggest that it's a part of the Floating Island. I always thought it was separate from it anyhow (Knuckles playthrough of SS, as you mentioned seems to suggest this).

I figure the Floating Island falling unless you have all the Super Emeralds was there just to encourage the player to get all the Super Emeralds, I don't think it has any practical merit unless some other source says otherwise.

    Edit: Ninja'd.

In the classics, one thing that doesn't make sense to me is the monitors, why and who puts them there?

    In sonic 4
One thing is playing as Metal - why is he fighting badniks, shouldn't he be doing some bad shit?
Sonic in Ep.2 Sky Fortress Boss Fight - Sonic is running so fast on the wings of the plane that his feet make the circular animation.

Finally, does this eyebrow make sense, it'd be huge lol:

Anything involving Sonic staying on the Tornado doesn't make sense, period. How can he stay up there for starters? How can he walk on it without falling off? (e.g. Sonic 2 Sky Chase) And in Sonic Adventure, how does he not fall off the Tornado when it's upside down?
