Oh boy, reskins! But nah, looks neat. Wonder if there will actually be anything to Metal Sonic to make him stand out from Sonic. And no, making him gain his aura to destroy things as a substitute to spin dashing doesn't count.
SONIC 4 EPISODE METAL IS FREE UNLESS YOU HAVE A WII????? TALK ABOUT SOME GODDAMNED BULLSHIT. I don't give ONE FUCK that it's $3.99 on Android. I've already spent $15 on the WII version! And I'm sure Ep2 will cost JUST AS MUCH.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2En_Y5LBws&feature=related Could have been worse, though it could be better, you're right. EDIT: Just watched the trailer - interesting use of Generations resources, there. =P As for their "exclsuive zones", don't bet on much other than the existing ones but as Metal. Interesting faux-Lock-On, though!
Well, playable Metal Sonic was certainly unexpected news. I own Sonic 4: Episode 1 for the PS3 but I'd rather own Episode 2 for PC. -_- Of course, the PC version of Episode 1 also has major graphical issues and I don't know if those issues have been resolved.
No one's pointed this out, but notice that SSZ Bad Future still persists. Sonic failed in Sonic CD. :specialed:
About the PC version of Episode 1, if you have an ATI or AMD graphics card (HD2000 series or newer), it's possible to force anti-aliasing through the graphics drivers, but this only works at 1280x720, doesn't work at any other resolution, and apparently this doesn't work for Nvidia graphics cards. With anti-aliasing and a modded texture for Sonic, the game looks like this:
Maybe Sonic got all of the time stones in Metallic Madness. :v: Edit- Yes, but I can play Sonic 4: Episode 1 in 1080p on my PS3. Playing the PC version at a lower resolution sounds pointless.
I started Sonic 4 off on my iPhone and PS3 and it's going to stay that way. I'll start moving over to PC gaming more next console generation.
Well, I'll just have to buy this game and find out how it plays. I'm far to lazy to just sit here and make grandiose assumptions and nitpick minute details. ... wait.
There are actually only a few games on PS3 and Xbox 360 that run at 1080p. Even if it says it runs at 1080p, it's likely just upscaled from 720p or below.
Or, since Robotnik is taking over the little planet again and building a death egg around it, the good future has been made bad again.
The new level and developments with Metal Sonic are interesting, but this game will still have to re-sell itself beyond that to get me to buy it. Shiny trinkets and all are nice, but... I let those fool me the first time. If the gameplay holds up better for the other levels AND the Metal Sonic thing is more deep than just "HEY LOOK IT'S A RESKIN"... I probably still wouldn't go for it. It'd need at least two songs worth hearing and either another level or some more direct tributes to things I like.
I think the oil-level looks like it actually has some nice level design in it and I like the motif, and in my opinion, if Metal Sonic shares the same physics and feel of Episode II (Provided they're good) then I don't see the problem with the new DLC.
Sega Marketing is so genius that they've figured out how to convince people who hate Sonic 4 to buy Episode One yet again just so they can play through the same shitty game with a different character model. Bravo.
