Sonic CD now out for everything except Nintendo consoles

Well, here we go. If the price is the same everywhere, I'm ready to triple dip (XBLA, PSN, Steam) at this point.

 

Hell, I want to quad dip (XBLA, PSN, WP7, Steam) but can't.

 

So hey about them not advertising the fact that this is rebuilt and not mentioning any of the new features in the trailers..

Shows S2 spin dash, Tails, and mentions it being re-built for a new generation. Only thing it doesn't bring up is both soundtracks. Also no mention of Sonic 4 this time.

 

Not to mention the lovely animated spotlights in Stardust Speedway yo.

I wonder why the lateness for the PSN in America?

 

Most likely MS grabbed some kind of USA exclusivity.

 

It was left out of the trailer too. They better not have cancelled it, I need my PC fix. :P Also, why did they need to hold off announcing the release date a day before it comes out? I'm glad to know this will only be 5 dollars, though.

 

I got so excited and realised I have to wait another damn week!

But then I realised I don't have money for this week, so next week is fine!

 

I must confess, I'm getting a tad annoyed with Sega's insistence on giving Microsoft all these week-long headstarts in the US. Of course, that's probably more Microsoft's fault than Sega's, but still, it annoys me.

 

I'm kinda curious, this was brought up but I don't know if we determined: do the pinball flippers still behave the same?

 

Yes! and its soo cheap too! this is going to be the hardest 24 hour wait but it'll be worth it for this.

Yeah so I've got an odd feeling the PC version isn't happening. It's not mentioned in any of the trailers so far and Sega appear to have made very little reference to it.
In fact, as far as I can tell, the only reference to it on PC at all is Ken Balough making an offhand comment about 'PC digital download' when the game was first announced, and a mention in the original Sega Blog announcement. Since then there doesn't seem to have been anything.
Hmm.

 

PC version hasn't been cancelled don't worry. I don't know the launch details for that though. As you're all probably aware, launch dates on downloadable services can be difficult to peg exactly when they'll happen.

 

Why do I have to have an essay due in on Thursday!! >.< Especially since I now have an iPhone, so I can certainly see myself going to the library to do some work and ending up just whipping it out and playing SCD instead.

Which soundtrack to use first...

 

Five dollars?! And here I was expecting ten dollars for this game because of the enhancements compared to Backbone's emulation. I may be so inclined to also purchase a Steam version on top of the PS3 version. Maybe.
