Sonic CD now out for everything except Nintendo consoles

Would've been neat if there were Laserdisc versions of the intro and outro, though.

 

Tails didn't swim in Sonic 2.

 

Yeah, but maybe he does in Sonic CD. That's the point.

 

That's why he's curious about what will they use :P As there are no Sonic 2 swimming sprites ;p

 

You know they'll probably pull a Sonic 2 and just have him not fly or swim at all....that'll show ya.

 

Normally I'd say you're probably right, but I don't think Taxman can bring himself NOT to give Tails these features.

 

Tails can already fly in CD, can't he?

 

And seeing as you have to beat the game to unlock Tails, it would be weird for you to have to work to earn him if it's nothing more than a different sprite with no extra features.

 

It'd be a nice surprise if this came out this wednesday, although it's bizarre that Sonic Team put absolutely no effort into even hinting at when the release date would be.

 

The same person who is telling in spanish forums that he has played the game and it's coming the 14th, says now that there is no sight of Amy when you play at Tails. That is, no Amy in Palmtree Panir, neither in Stardust Speedway.
The Race Vs Metal Sonic stays the same, though.

 

Hmm, no Amy. Makes sense.
But it'd be funny if it was Sonic running up to Tails to give him smooches. Probably would fulfill a fantasy that many Sonic fans have, unfortunately, held.

I can't help but think that the metal sonic race as tails is going to be super easy mode unless flying is fairly slow or what not. The main difficulty of the race came in dodging the obstacles on the floor, and tails easily does that with flying.

 

Wait, what if Tails flies above the Eggmobile? I'm sure they thought of something; question is, what? :B

EDIT: In the Stardust Speedway race, I mean.

 

Tails' flying has never been particularly fast, so I don't see it being game-breaking.

 

So...if this is indeed coming on the 14th...
