That was made by G.E. (Great Eastern), who also made several classic character plush, as well as a few modern ones. They're by far the most accurate Sonic plush availible in the U.S. currently. For about $8-9 USD each, you can get: The modern characters are also done very well, although they are a bit more expensive ($10-20) due to their larger size. More modern characters are in the pipeline, and should be released later this year. Shadow and Super Sonic are looking great, and everyone wants a Chao. Most GE plush can easily be obtained via the internet right now.
I am thinking of putting up my Sega Champion Check up on ebay, the one from the 1st Sega Dreamcast Championships for Sonic Adventure. Does anyone think I might fetch something for it considering it is a part of Sonic's history......
That was you? Sweet, I remember reading that news story over ten years ago. But how the hell do you ship that thing?
Yup that was me and below is the scanned letter that came with the actual check I deposited into my account all those years ago. As for shipping the check I guess that may not work out to well........ Funny thing was that after I won, Sega was awesome and put me up in the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas, and when I was walking in the Casino to get back to my room I could actually use the large check as the real thing. That nice big check is tucked away in storage nice and safe and with my bronz trophy and my Sonic 10th Anniversary Statue and Crystal Cube. Such good times....... I was even given a signed copy of Sonic Adventure Limited Edition by Yuji Naka and he was kind enough to personally sign my actual Sonic Adventure disc! Everyone I met at Sega during the tournament were AWESOME!
New Gacha toys at Target. While cool, I never got my Super Sonic or Knuckles from the first run of figures.
Need to swing by Target then, I wanted to pick up the Metal Sonic capsule but they did not have any in stock. But I did walk away with the classic tails figure instead.
I wish I got a Metal Sonic. The capsule game was a huge waste of money for me. Three Shadows and Three Werehogs. Crazy. I was lucky to find the one Sonic I found, I suppose.
My target doesnt have none of that stuff In fact, they only have 5 inch Classic and Modern Sonic now. Booooooringgggggg.
Don't be disappointed if you can't get the gacha toys. Calling them shite is an understatement. The ASR ones are even worse.
Just a heads up, my local TRU in the Miami/Kendall area just got the 10inch classic and modern Sonic figures. I know that I ordered one classic Sonic online already, but I found one that was nearly flawless, so if the one that comes from UPS is better I will return the previous. The pictures do the figures no justice, the figure is just awesome in person!!! Now I wish they make a classic 10inch Metal Sonic....
There's virtually no difference between classic and modern metal sonic besides the height, so idk if they'll do that. I saw the 10 inch figs at my local TRU but they're not as fresh as I was hopin', so I skipped out on them. I have to put 100% of my money towards rent and bills now since my roommate's moving out at the end of october, but hey at least I completed the collection I have.
Toys R Us Online now lists it as well. They don't ship internationally though, so I guess that's not too helpful for those outside the US.
So I just received my 10 Classic Sonic from UPS. The figure looks great itself, unfortunately as usual, the packaging from Jazware does not hold up well quality-wise...especially with TRU's shipping methods.
