Finished Sonic 3 and Knuckles 100%

Now get all fourteen emeralds with Tails and Knuckles. >_>

~Sonic & Tails
~Sonic solo
~Tails solo
~Knuckles

With all 14 emeralds in each. It becomes pretty repeatable after the second time. technically you've only have beat 25% of the game but if you have good memory for repeating things it should be easier the second time around.

 

25%? More like 33%. There's very few differences in beating the game with Sonic solo.

 

Only 8 continues? Pros get 14.

 

And that in the first few Slot Machine Bonus Stages.

 

I did it earlier this year without cheats for the first time, with Sonic & Tails and Tails alone, but it's too repetitive for me to bother finishing the Sonic Alone and Knuckles Alone games I started.

Also, 99 lives and continues on both complete files ftw

 

Something like this. I only beat it myself with all emeralds on all characters for the first time, earlier this year, on Sonic Classic Collection no less! Now I'm doing it again, on the Wii this time, albeit without using a guide to help me find the big rings.

Of course, Marble Garden is a bitch. That level just takes way too long.

 

I have all the emeralds for everyone except Knuckles. I'll get to it eventually, but I've been busy with me backlog lately.

 

How far did you get into the game with Knuckles? A large part of the game with Knuckles is very different than playing with Sonic or Tails.

 

No, that's without touching a Bonus Stage.

 

Man... This makes me think about all those times I've played those damn special stages. I've pretty much mastered 'em all, it's sad. S3&K is much easier to 100% then Sonic 1 or 2, at least for me. (The latter especially with Tails following) Not to say I haven't done it.

Your next challenge is to play through the game several times until you've got all the pictures on the File Select Screen: Sonic, Super Sonic, Tails, Super Tails, Knuckles, Super Knuckles, and All Three.

That's what I did with my actual cartridge, because I had nothing better to do as a child.

 

Better late than never right? xP I actually finished the game first with Knuckles, all 14 Emeralds and a shitload of lives/continues too. Next I finished it with Sonic & Tails (sadly I used Debug mode with them the first time because of that damn barrel...) But later on after I figured out how to get past it, I finally finished it with Sonic, and Sonic & Tails. I just need to get one more Super Emerald with Tails, since I skipped over many areas where the giant rings are. :\
