Roger Craig Smith and Kate Higgins are the new Sonic and Tails VAs

I see the resemblance in the way he says it, but not really much of a likeness.
He sounds really kiddy in that clip. However, its infinitely better than "Check out the consoles WOOOAH!"

I'm pretty sure it sounds like this given the context of what he's saying. I doubt he talk like he's making a personal safety announcement, all the time.

 

I actually like that... Not that I really had any problem with his last couple of voice actors...

... Amy's supposed to get a new voice actress too, right? I wonder what she'll sound like if so...

 

A few more, Again from Hero of Legend. They still sound rather good.

 

I'm liking this new voice, it fits quite well. I'm glad they finally replaced those craptastic 4-kids actors, voices, shit.

Although my favorite Sonic voice is the one from the Anime movie... but that's just me.

 

I am getting some serious Jaleel White vibes from those sound clips.

It's really happening. Sonic really is going to sound horrible from Sonic Colors and onward. Yes yes yes.

 

He don't sound too much different from other Sonic's voice actor but it's very likeable.
Maybe because don't sound as cocky as it usually do, dunno...

 

Echo that. I hate Sonic's cockyness in the recent games. I mean, he was kinda cocky but in a cool way before. Recently he's been more of a Haruhi-style Cocky.

 

I think his new voice sounds fine, better than Griffith's but not by a considerable amount.

 

It's fine, but I still prefer Griffith's voice over that one. Something about his tone bugs me a bit, but I can't figure out what it is....

 

Is it just me, or does this sound almost like a blend of Griffith's and White's voices? Its not bad.

 

I see no reason why Kate Higgins can't voice Amy too. She's got a good range.

 

True... But that'd be kinda boring, don't you think? I mean, I'll probably be happy with her voice as long as it ain't grating on the ears like Tails' was in Sonic Heroes, but... I dunno... To be honest, I can't really imagine Amy sounding to horribly different so maybe it won't matter who does her voice...

... Is it bad that I'm more interested in how Amy'll sound in the next game than Sonic or Tails? I'm also pretty interested in how Rouge will sound too, assuming that she gets a new voice as well.

 

That's what I was thinking. Not gonna bite until we really see what things are like in Colours, but all signs are looking up.

He has the voice that Griffith was always trying for, but was always so far from. He's got some attitude, sounds young and doesn't have that awful pitch fluctuation. Don't get me wrong, I actually liked Griffith's portrayal but it was very flawed.

 

I like it, I know the dialogue ain't great, but as for the potential he has I really want to see some story clips from Sonic Colours now.
